earl 0 Posted August 13, 2003 Okay, I can't promise anything about actually making them, but if I did, it would be the SVDS for a few reasons. First, the SVDK is too new, not really a regular forces weapon. The SVD has been done enough, and the folding stock SVDS makes it more likely to be used by Naval Infantry, because it's easier for transport.
earl 0 Posted August 13, 2003 Here's the M249 iron sights that I've just cleaned up. The gun is a beast, I had a blast using it in MP beta testing last night. The nice thing is that the M16 still has its place, I really feel that we got them both pretty balanced, thanks to everyone that worked on JAM mags (Evis and STT mostly, I think). -TU--33ker 0 Posted August 13, 2003 I think you guys have mixed up two different calibers, 9x39 and 9.3x64. There seems to be plenty of '9.3x39's mentioned... oops I just copied it from AKM without thinking carefully. Of course there isn't such round like 9.3x39. Great work Earl! Your weapons are my favourite right now!

Its 9.3x64mm, pretty sure. I was pretty wasted (Tired) after around 03:00 my time. AK

GoOB 0 Posted August 13, 2003 Hmmm, didn't see any of those on the screens you released earlier. They look nice though. Real nice

Tex -USMC- 0 Posted August 13, 2003 So, am I ever going to get to play these, or is Blackdog just going to torture me ad infinitum?
-TU--33ker 0 Posted August 13, 2003 hey Blackdog I want to be a member of the team too! I can do your job. Playing around with those fantastic units and tease the rest of the world with screenshots. That's what you do in the team, isn't it?
The Frenchman 0 Posted August 13, 2003 I dont know if this has been asked before but will there be a campaign released with these?
Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted August 13, 2003 The pack will include a lot of missions. I'm not sure about a campaign, though. Is a nice idea.
waffendennis 0 Posted August 13, 2003 Yea a campaign is a verry nice idea and i hope they make it
AKM 0 Posted August 14, 2003 Alright, I found some more data on the SVD Dragunov rifle, and it shows a few images of varients: World.Guns.Ru And here is some more information concerning the SVD-K and the SVD-S: Club.Guns.Ru Second link also contains information on a few more sniper rifles and other weapons. Might be interesting to take a look there. AK
blackdog~ 0 Posted August 14, 2003 If their is an officially released campaign for the MARPAT's, it would be on top of the current CO-OP missions we already have, and it more than likely would be an MP campaign...
AKM 0 Posted August 14, 2003 MP Campaigns huh... thats a much talked about, little done subject. Basically it requires someone to keep tabs on which mission was won or lost, and which objectives were completed for a truly dynamic MP campaign. However, when you are playing with excellent units, and every third word out of a player's mouth is: Units, so awesome. Argh, hard to shoot the Russians, textures, so beuitiful..... Hint Hint. And if this doesn't make sense its because its 04:32 hours, and I havn't slept for two days now... surprisingly, one doesn't go insane with a severe lack of sleep. Take heed gamers. zapschlitzer 22 Posted August 14, 2003 Please, no campaign otherwise the units never become released. :
suchey 0 Posted August 14, 2003 If Blackdog or any of the other beta testers begin a campaigne project, it will not delay the units in any way.
AKM 0 Posted August 14, 2003 Wow. That's the first time I've EVER heard that. What about this new AAE compliancy? AK
suchey 0 Posted August 14, 2003 AAE compliance requires a single mission to be shipped with the addon...we will include that, but any additional missions will be packaged into a seperate download...there are already well over a dozen missions of various types (mostly co-op, or adversarial) which we will pack up and offer for download...Im sure there will be MANY more when the addon is ready.
