The Sheffield was sunk not because of the light warhead (165 kg) but that to missile's left propellant and highly-flammable materials inside the cruiser. The Cruiser being to much ablaze, it had to be abondonned. Since then, all Royal Navy's ships had received new non-flammable materials aboard. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

cbfasi 4 Posted August 7, 2004 A few more images of the Type 42 after some minor enhancements (also some sunset shots for those who complained earlier!) Night Effects These next couple of pics show the night affects (at 0200), and thus are very dark, to get best affect look at them with little light around. Â These effects are good enough to allow a night landing without NVG's (although it can take a little practice ) View with NVG Active.. NVG's Switiched off...
