What do you guys think how long will it take until you can react on the new dev build, which makes CUP terrains sky look terrible? I'm considering going back to stable, depends...

We don't react on that at all, because all development branch changes are still subject to change. We are making some internal adjustments on how the devbranch is envolving but only to be ready for 1.60 showtime.

 

If you don't like the current changes/state you better switch to stable (Tip: you can have both, A3 stable and dev on your computer with GameUpdater)

Yes, we completly stopped terrain development and will remove all downloads and SteamWS mirrors in the next days. Please use AiA (or even better A3MP) again. Thanks.

Seriously! You should reread what was posted there. NOBODY EXCEPT YOU is talking about CUP Terrains being stopped. The other guys are talking about old community maps whose authors are not around anymore.

Yeah I was considering this, will search for how it's done. If it can be achieved by not wasting too much space.

I just wanna make sure since I can't see anything related in the bug tracker - is the issue with most or even all of the lamps and lights not breaking when shot known/fixed?

I think today's RC update added Visual Upgrades to all CUP terrains.  B)   Am I wrong?

 

Added: New Visual Upgrade parameters to the CAWorld based on a community request

 

Chernarus, Takistan, and Bystrika, no mods other than CUP:

Some of the effects of the visual upgrade should have already been on the CUP Terrains, but I believe that change came at the request of metalcraze (also known as kraze), who has also done the new lighting configs for CUP.

Here is what those two areas on Chernarus and Bystrica look like in our development build.

That's right. Kraze requested that change to CAWorld in the CUP chat and BI was so kind to implement the changes right away. The changes are a big step forward in backwards compatibility of the new lighting changes for CUP TP and other A2 community terrains aswell. Obviously the visuals are still WIP (black sky).

Your shots from CUP dev build are right on the money.  Hopefully your changes will be pushed out soon, as the WIP "upgrades" from the RC are problematic at this time.

So guys, first of all i'm so sorry about my english.

So, i'm having some troubles with CUP Terrains, every time i try to load my Arma 3 show this message:

No entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgPatches.cup_misc_data'.

And now my dedicated server dont start the mission and give me the same message...

 

I have CBA, CUP_Terrains and CUP_Core in the last version, somebody can help me?

You say BI was "so kind."  To implement borked, WIP "upgrades" that broke the visuals of CUP terrains, forcing CUP to generate fixes?  Hmmm.  Odd.

 

I guess one must take the long view here.

I dont understand some of people here - in 2015, before Devs started to "rush" people was complaining there is no serious changes, now if game finally start to change, there are complains they do it too fast. People, stop playing it, and return after month please.
