Actually, the politics of Poland, at least reported in the media, is one of the most "active" countries in Europe besides other eastern EU

it is more complex

we were occupied by Russia for over century, so we are very aware to keep independence and national values, thus we see imperialism as something evil cause we want our country to be OUR not other , thus we are active cause we know that imperialism is forcing other nation over other nation,

but as Sudayev said , noone here wants to fight with Russia,

and back to media and government

current media , all mainstream media in Poland belong to German corporations such as Axel Springer,

German corporations need Poland conflicted with Russia, why ? cause than their farmers gonna trade with Russians

also our current government are puppets of Brussels and Berlin (mostly by foreign corporations, banks)

so whenever they do anything, they do in favor of corporations, not our nation

historically we do not need to care either about Ukraine or Russia, simply we hate imperialism, cause we were occupied long in history and independence, national values are very important

the same Lithuanians have, Latvians as well,

everyone wants to live in his state, speak his language, keep his culture - Putin behaves like imperialist, and thats why we are active cause we hate influence of one nation over other nation and anexations,

i believe that if Putin hasn't annexed Ukrainian territory ,than many of us would rather have no position in this conflict, we would not care about UPA-grandsons, we would not see as evil people who say they do not want to be part of EU,

anexation made us active cause we feel danger that Putin want to rebuild empire from Tsar era but i agree that hysteria about Russia is backed by mainstream media,

there are "conspiracy theories" saying it is backed by Merkel to conflict Russia with Poland (than Russians do not buy our products, but buy German products, than Poland spends money on arms of course from abroad)

if Putin hasn't annexed Crimea our opinions might be opposite,

Of course there is Ukrainian inquiry regarding commercial sale of arms and modernization of Ukrainians tanks in Poland. This is pure business and only fool would neglect this precious opportunity. Something for money, instead of what media write about supplying them with weapons almost like blankets or bandages. Everything comes from the Ukrainian side - rather than Poland, that makes a huge difference.

From what I hear - none of such offers were finalized yet - moreover Polish MOD excludes such possibility in near future and accents more on realizing agreements from Minsk rather than to add fuel to the fire http://www.rp.pl/artykul/1180334.html?p=1

The only country the delivers arms to Ukraine in current moment is Lithuania.

Same as with the Sudetenland and the whole Czechoslovakia and Austria in the late 30s...

And I've friends in most EU countries and all fear Russia warmongery (well Putin's craziness to be exactly).

The case with the Sudetenland was defined in the Munich Agreement and dont forget the Sudeten Crisis.

Poland did actually occupy parts of it without taking part in the negotiations.

We did talk already about Austria and I did link you to sources, this is more complex and is not defined like you maybe think about.

The German Occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1939 was definately a true annexion and aggressive act.

Some of the points are exactly what Hillary Clinton was trying to say and compared Putin with Hitler, later she tried to backpedal.

"Now if this sounds familiar, it's what Hitler did back in the '30s," she told an audience at a private fund-raiser, according to the Long Beach Press Telegram.

Hitler/Third Reich comparisons are very often pure political rethoric.

Btw, Czechoslovakia was another example of a man made country where problems did arise.....

Two more articles for you:

The Minsk Agreement you said? Or was it Munich?

In this case they are really pertinent.

I doubt this is historical holeproof.

I did not know that in the Minsk Agreement the East Ukraine was to be awarded to Russia for integration....

there was barely any Sudetenland crisis in pre-WW2 CSR, it was orchestrated and supported by Germany as Casus Belli ...

(in fact many Sudeten Germans were fearing to be included into Reich because they knew what comes and they will be drafted for w/e crazy war of reich 'fanatical leader')

it does remind me on some recent events ....

it does remind me on some recent events ....

The correlations for the disputes of the german minorities (actually Austrians from the former Austrian-Hungary empire), around 25% of the population, in the CSR did start already in the 20´s, suppression did exist with czech nationalism and after the Nazis did come to power the german nationalism gained more strength and heated the situation. The conflict had its climax when Benesh did suggest a "resettlement" and mobilized its military, wheras Hitler had already plans to crash the CSR and threatened with war if no arrangement is possible. Hitler followed definately aggressive foreign politics.I dont know if it fits to say the Sudeten Crisis did exist "barely" , the previous events since the 20´s are a part of it and the worsening of the political Situation in 1938 is called the Sudeten Crisis.

did edit it, wasnt sure how the Sudeten Crisis is defined in the timeline.

Btw as a side info which some maybe dont know, the creation and naming of the country "Czechoslovakia" did show already its problems:

The new created nation named, Czechoslovakia, did disguise the fact that the biggest ethnic groups were the Czechs and Sudeten Germans and not the Czechs and the Slovaks. It an artificial created multi-ethnic state and the Czechs who did govern it, the biggest population, were less than half of the countries population in this time.

I'm sorry, but the EU is suppressed USA. And executes the will of others.

RF EU is now estimated as a big garden, which buys Russian hydrocarbons.

Strategic partners of the Russian Federation are now living in the east.

Europe is ready to pinch yourself an egg door but like the United States. Russia with her along the way.

Once again, I'm sorry. Taran Ukraine broke the likely EU-Russian alliance. He showed neumnost Europe. And pushed to the east of the Russian Federation.

exe_74rus At this point is Russia that is mainly isolated with few "allies" that are not much willing anymore after seeing what the Kremlin did in Ukraine. Just check how Belarus or Kazakhstan govs have been behaving lately.

The only "more or less" friend, is China, which is mainly stealing Russian equipment and taking advantage of the weak position Putin is.

Just check their reactions, and declarations of their rulers. Pretty much seems that Putin is destroying Russia and it's foreign relations as no other ruler did before.

Probably most of them are neutral in relation to this conflict, wheras states close to Russia and with Russian minorities are critisizing or are worried about it.

The problem is not only the direct threat a warmonger Kremlin carries, which obviously mainly worries the ones that are in their borders. But most countries try to avoid being related with Russia because of the bad reputation it has, and it can affect with their other trading partners. And most important because an unreliable partner is really bad for long term business.

Remember that Putin has not only invaded some of their neighbors but also bullied a good amount of his partners.

And another good reason why more and more countries distrust Putin:

(Reuters) Putin says Russia beefing up nuclear arsenal, NATO denounces 'sabre-rattling'

President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday Russia would add more than 40 new intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM) to its nuclear arsenal this year, prompting NATO's chief to accuse Moscow of dangerous "sabre-rattling".

It's an interesting move. Specially having in mind the nowadays economic difficulties in Russia, and that it already had an insane amount of atomic bombs.

So it's more a message / threat for mid-small countries than for the West (that already have enough atomic bombs to blow the World a couple times, so no need for a third one).

This is highly likely the answer to deployment of US forces in the baltics - Diplomaty of de-escalation ?

* US might deploy missiles in Europe to counter Russia

(The options go so far as one implied — but not stated explicitly — that would improve the ability of U.S. nuclear weapons to destroy military targets on Russian territory.)

* US to station heavy weaponry in eastern Europe

So a few dozen more nuclear missiles are the answer for an armor unit to defend the Baltics and AA misiles?

Since when weapons of massive destruction are even compared with conventional weapons?

As I said this Russian move is more towards the non-nuclear countries. For NATO and the US it doesn't matter if 10 or 100 more, as both NATO and Russia could blow up themselves mutually.

"More than 40 new intercontinental ballistic missiles able to overcome even the most technically advanced anti-missile defense systems will be added to the make-up of the nuclear arsenal this year" Putin gave no more details of which missiles were being added to the nuclear arsenal.

Anti-missile systems are probably a quiete a headache for them...its about deterence with the first strike capability, it competes with the capability of the US like in the cold war.

Dont think they need intercontinental missiles as deterrent for non-nuclear neighbour countries.

Not as a deterrent, but to bully and boss them around.

Russia doesn't have a powerful navy, nor many bases. So it's only real strength towards non-neighbor countries is on their atomic intercontinental missiles.

Nuclear is for deterence only between nuclear powers, but an actual use of it would be insane and nobody of the elite in any country would do that, ...hopfefully also in the future.

Nobody needs to bully with nuclear rockets if you have economical influence & power and a strong conventional army.

But the point is that Russia doesn't have that. Nor economical influence nor a strong conventional army, they are limited to their neighbors in military reach.

UK, France and US have bases and colonies around the World, important fleets, and a lot of mobility. Russia doesn't.

China is at this moment the most powerful economy (as a country) and is increasing its mobility capabilities and fleet.

Russia's economy is in a deep crisis.

The only resort of power of influence Russia has nowadays, is its nuclear capability and the possibility to bully its weak neighbors (like Georgia, Ukraine and so on).

What on Earth are you saying? How do you reach that conclusion? As seems to be now trendy you confuse not liking Russia's Gov. policies and hating Russia.

Not only I have a good amount of Russian friends; including part of my legal family is from Russia (like my father-in-law). It's precisely because I love Russia that I hate how Putin's Gov. is destroying it.

what makes US to send tons of equipment on Russian borders and openly supporting war in Donbass ????

The US or any country can legally send weapons to the sovereign and democratically elected government of Ukraine. Russian FSB elements created the war in Donbass and the Kremlin fuels it.

This thread is about Russia. And NATO intervened in Serbia to stop the violence in Europe (based on international agreements).
