o5_ 7 Posted July 12, 2017 the performance binaries are the default , it replaces those .exe profiling ones aren't default (manual rename needed)Right, I'm tracking that much. Is there a seperate executable for the profiling vs performance when I subscribe through steam? Thanks.Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

gameoverdude 10 Posted July 14, 2017 So probably a stupid question but I figured I'd ask.. Would I benefit more from using the performance client, performance server, or just normal 64.exe for a headless client? Currently using the performance server.exe and it's working great! The performance builds are called that to differentiate them from the profiling builds which include extra debugging hooks that can negatively impact performance. Their purpose is to allow BI to drop hotfixes to specific gamebreaking issues in between the relatively long stable build releases. This gets more players back into the action without having to wait for that next stable build release. Unless you are seeing a gamebreaking issue, the performance executables will not have any impact on your headless client's performance.

kremator 1065 Posted August 10, 2017 @dwarden really appreciate these new binaries each time. Would it be possible to know what has changed (so that we can also give you better feedback on them) ?
Dwarden 1125 Posted August 11, 2017 @kremator changelog is always provided for each PROFILING branch release in related post ... 1.74 profiling 00 has all the features from last 1.72 profiling 05 but it's in sync with update 1.74 (as no 1.72 profiling changes were merged into 1.74.main)

Will you be releasing performance binaries for ArmA 3 Linux servers in the future? I hope Linux support continues, I've been hosting ArmA servers for many years now and always prefer running them on Linux. I'm sure a lot of sysadmins will agree here.
