holo89 10 Posted July 10, 2013 simple question. I saw that many tools (IDE) were adapted or made from scratch for sqf scripting. I post here because I'd like to know what tool You, mission editor and scripter are actually using for Arma 3? Personnally I use the notepad++ syntax, but I saw squint and Eclipse with ArmaDev addin, and none seems to have a Arma 3 version yet. I'd like your expertise on that. I wish to switch to one better than Notepad++ thanks, Holo
kylania 568 Posted July 10, 2013 A great starting tool is ArmAEdit. It's a little dated now but mostly works still. Some of the wizards, like sounds in description.ext are still quite valuable. Personally I never liked Notepad++ but I have totally fallen in love with Sublime Text 2. It's nagware and not free but well worth the cost as far as programming editors is concerned. SavageCDN 231 Posted July 10, 2013 Yep notepad++ for me. I used to use ArmAEdit but got sick of re-installling it daily to fix the locked-minimized problem.

Hypnomatic 10 Posted July 10, 2013 Never really got into Notepad++, but I too have been addicted to Sublime Text 2/3. It's got plugins with syntax highlighting for nearly every language imaginable, including SQF, and is in general a blast to use.
cuel 25 Posted July 10, 2013 I'm in love with Notepad++ with SQF highlight I will probably try SubLime Text later.
Von Quest 1163 Posted July 18, 2013 Not sure if this applies to ArmA; but also use Notepad++ because with editing Flight Sims, there were often small errors if you use the standard Notepad or other simple text editors that were almost undetectable (forgot the specifics).
