araripe 10 Posted February 1, 2014 I'm pretty sure this is a bug caused by the camo faces. We liked the russian camo faces, but for some reason the face type overrides the language you give the soldiers. They should all use BAF voices, but the ones with camo speak russian because of their face paint. It must seep into the soldiers brains or something. If it really bothers you just change the config to not use the camo faces. And how can I change it? I am a bit bored of sounds like "Duminata Papali" or something like it. It really kills the immersion in the game. But the textures at all are awesome! You did a great job with the models!
sorophx 25 Posted February 8, 2014 Guys, forgive me if it's not an appropriate thing to ask. But my friends are dying to know if these weapons are or will ever be available in some form in Arma 3. We're just dying to play with an M4, and most of the current M4 mods for A3 are...of unsatisfactory quality.

In due time... assuming plans haven't changed they will be ported eventually but I believe Sabre is currently working on the SOC mod and Ardy is doing his own thing. Tier1Voodoo 10 Posted March 16, 2014 (edited) I saw this mod a couple days ago and it's amazing. I saw in several pages back that some of them are speaking Russian and that is caused by the face camo. How to change the config so there will be nobody uses face camo? And the units classnames are quite many, but I don't know what classnames will look like in the game. Anyone mind to post the classname images? Because I haven't had the Arma 2 yet. Still working on it. I've gotten the Arma 3, but it doesn't have Afghanistan-like map. So, I consider to get the Arma 2 OA also. BTW, do you have plan on porting it to Arma 3? Also, how to detach the face wrap? I prefer not to use it Edited March 19, 2014 by tier1voodoo
LoupVrt 14 Posted April 14, 2014 How did you guys achieved such high resolution textures? For the live of me, I just can't figure out what settings to use in Photoshop and TexView2 to get as neat textures in game as yours.

MATR1X 9 Posted May 7, 2014 It is amazing, though the russian voices are rather disconcerting. Shame it wasn't sorted and re-upped if it is an easy fix.
ardvarkdb 104 Posted May 10, 2014 It's a bug in arma caused by the use of the russian camo faces. If it bothers you just redo the config to not use the camo faces and it will go away.

dreadpirate 173 Posted March 15, 2015 Don't know if anyone is still using this, but I wrote a little script that generates CfgIdentities with Aussie-sounding nick-names and English-speaking voices. Here's an example output: class CfgIdentities{ class Macca { name="Macca"; face="Face21"; glasses="BlackSun"; speaker="Male04_BAF"; pitch=1.02; }; class Robbo { name="Robbo"; face="Face02"; glasses="None"; speaker="Male01_BAF"; pitch=0.91; }; class Rooey { name="Rooey"; face="Face10"; glasses="BlackSun"; speaker="Male04EN"; pitch=0.99; }; class Wombat { name="Wombat"; face="Face07"; glasses="BlackSun"; speaker="Male03_BAF"; pitch=0.98; }; class Mitch { name="Mitch"; face="Face08"; glasses="RedSun"; speaker="Male02EN"; pitch=0.96; }; class Sambo { name="Sambo"; face="Face06"; glasses="GreenSun"; speaker="Male01EN"; pitch=0.93; }; class Chrisso { name="Chrisso"; face="Face20"; glasses="RedSun"; speaker="Male03_BAF"; pitch=1; }; class Knackers { name="Knackers"; face="Face25"; glasses="RedSun"; speaker="Male05EN"; pitch=0.91; }; class Shagger { name="Shagger"; face="Face05"; glasses="BlackSun"; speaker="Male03_BAF"; pitch=1.03; }; class Hodgey { name="Hodgey"; face="Face15"; glasses="None"; speaker="Male04EN"; pitch=0.97; }; class Stevo { name="Stevo"; face="Face11"; glasses="GreenSun"; speaker="Male03EN"; pitch=0.94; }; class Davo { name="Davo"; face="Face23"; glasses="None"; speaker="Male03_BAF"; pitch=0.92; }; class Dazza { name="Dazza"; face="Face10"; glasses="RedSun"; speaker="Male03EN"; pitch=0.98; }; class Wazza { name="Wazza"; face="Face45"; glasses="BlackSun"; speaker="Male03EN"; pitch=0.94; }; class Simmo { name="Simmo"; face="Face16"; glasses="GreenSun"; speaker="Male02EN"; pitch=1; }; class Lockie { name="Lockie"; face="Face17"; glasses="BlueSun"; speaker="Male04EN"; pitch=0.99; }; class Digger { name="Digger"; face="Face43"; glasses="BlackSun"; speaker="Male02_BAF"; pitch=0.95; }; class Ollie { name="Ollie"; face="Face22"; glasses="RedSun"; speaker="Male02_BAF"; pitch=0.94; }; class Jordie { name="Jordie"; face="Face17"; glasses="BlueSun"; speaker="Male05EN"; pitch=0.94; }; class Smitty { name="Smitty"; face="Face44"; glasses="Tactical"; speaker="Male03_BAF"; pitch=1; }; class Jonesey { name="Jonesey"; face="Face19"; glasses="None"; speaker="Male02_BAF"; pitch=0.99; }; class Willow { name="Willow"; face="Face55"; glasses="BlackSun"; speaker="Male01_BAF"; pitch=1.04; }; class Brownie { name="Brownie"; face="Face41"; glasses="None"; speaker="Male04_BAF"; pitch=0.95; }; class Johnno { name="Johnno"; face="Face18"; glasses="None"; speaker="Male01EN"; pitch=0.98; }; class Marty { name="Marty"; face="Face41"; glasses="GreenSun"; speaker="Male03_BAF"; pitch=0.97; }; class Mick { name="Mick"; face="Face16"; glasses="None"; speaker="Male03_BAF"; pitch=1.02; }; class Hershey { name="Hershey"; face="Face03"; glasses="None"; speaker="Male05EN"; pitch=1.03; }; class Freddo { name="Freddo"; face="Face01"; glasses="None"; speaker="Male03_BAF"; pitch=0.91; }; class Dusty { name="Dusty"; face="Face58"; glasses="BlueSun"; speaker="Male02EN"; pitch=1.05; }; class Millsey { name="Millsey"; face="Face10"; glasses="None"; speaker="Male04_BAF"; pitch=1.04; }; class Ando { name="Ando"; face="Face05"; glasses="Tactical"; speaker="Male02EN"; pitch=0.94; }; class Thommo { name="Thommo"; face="Face56"; glasses="None"; speaker="Male05EN"; pitch=0.96; }; class Whitey { name="Whitey"; face="Face56"; glasses="BlackSun"; speaker="Male01_BAF"; pitch=0.92; }; class Clarkie { name="Clarkie"; face="Face04"; glasses="None"; speaker="Male02_BAF"; pitch=0.97; }; class Parko { name="Parko"; face="Face44"; glasses="None"; speaker="Male02EN"; pitch=1.01; }; class Walker { name="Walker"; face="Face11"; glasses="None"; speaker="Male04EN"; pitch=1.01; }; class Bakes { name="Bakes"; face="Face06"; glasses="BlackSun"; speaker="Male01EN"; pitch=1.04; }; class Cambo { name="Cambo"; face="Face59"; glasses="None"; speaker="Male03_BAF"; pitch=1.05; }; class Richo { name="Richo"; face="Face44"; glasses="GreenSun"; speaker="Male05EN"; pitch=0.94; }; class Howie { name="Howie"; face="Face59"; glasses="None"; speaker="Male01_BAF"; pitch=0.9; }; class Hendo { name="Hendo"; face="Face53"; glasses="None"; speaker="Male01_BAF"; pitch=0.99; }; class Rusty { name="Rusty"; face="Face50"; glasses="Tactical"; speaker="Male04_BAF"; pitch=0.98; }; class Bluey { name="Bluey"; face="Face24"; glasses="BlueSun"; speaker="Male04EN"; pitch=0.91; }; class Gibbo { name="Gibbo"; face="Face55"; glasses="None"; speaker="Male01_BAF"; pitch=0.94; }; class Jenko { name="Jenko"; face="Face43"; glasses="None"; speaker="Male02_BAF"; pitch=0.96; }; } Just copy into your description.ext and then you can use (for example): this setIdentity "Macca" in an SOTG units init to give it an Aussie identity (with a British or American accent still, but oh well.....)
