giallustio 770 Posted February 13, 2013 Hey guys! I'm trying to disable the vehicles radio chat but i have a little problem. I added in the init-mods.sqf: // ACE configuration if (isClass(configFile>>"CfgPatches">>"ace_main")) then { mps_ace_enabled = true; // enableEngineArtillery true; //disable BI arty comp ace_sys_eject_fnc_weaponcheck = {}; //disable aircraft weapon removal ace_sys_aitalk_radio_enabled = false; ..... But it doesn't work. No module on the map. Any idea?
SavageCDN 231 Posted February 13, 2013 SavageCDN I started to play mso from 4.55. is 4.4 pdb set up all different? Not much.. just an extra param in the database.txt file (db type) Hey guys!I'm trying to disable the vehicles radio chat but i have a little problem. I added in the init-mods.sqf: // ACE configuration if (isClass(configFile>>"CfgPatches">>"ace_main")) then { mps_ace_enabled = true; // enableEngineArtillery true; //disable BI arty comp ace_sys_eject_fnc_weaponcheck = {}; //disable aircraft weapon removal ace_sys_aitalk_radio_enabled = false; ..... But it doesn't work. No module on the map. Any idea? I could be wrong but I don't think it will create an actual module anywhere however the setting should take effect.. do you still hear radio chatter?
giallustio 770 Posted February 13, 2013 @SavageCDN Yep, that's the problem...
SavageCDN 231 Posted February 13, 2013 @SavageCDNYep, that's the problem... Maybe it's one of the other chatter modules you are hearing? The player or AI talk ones (just guessing here)? Also perhaps there is another ace_sys_aitalk_radio_enabled line afterwards that is set to true which overrides yours? BTW thanks for all the great =BTC= missions over the years!! No, i'm sure there are not others, i checked with the ctrl+f and i'm sure that is the vehicles radio chatter module... BTW thanks for all the great =BTC= missions over the years!! Thank you m8 :D I released just 1/10 of my mission 'cause i don't have time to release all of them sadly! But i'm very happy that some one enjoys my work ;) Edited February 13, 2013 by Giallustio
zaksle75 1 Posted February 14, 2013 (edited) AI behaviour is not directly mission related... its regular ArmA2-AI, and we did not mod that. If enemies are too "soft" for you then turn up your skill settings, play at veteran and not as cadet, and use ASR AI or ZEUS A Yeah we use Zeus AI and ASR AI and ACE. The enemies are deadly and stuffs but in Takistan mostly it's so hard we tell guys to like follow us they like no can do they die when they spawn sometimes... They run away 100 meters then say no can do and everything that's why I started recruit 5 Ai at a time, only happens in the MSO base when they get all stupid. Think theres too much objects, in patrol ops or SP their not as stupid, friends agree with this too. Edit: (ACE Bugs & Questions about the mission) Questions 1) What is Ambient Power Grid and how does it work? 2) In ACE Mod you are able to have units pass out or be severely injured rather than dying, in MSO they always die instead of being able to put a bullet in someones arm, let them run and bleed then pass out and take them prisoner. 2.5) Friendlies are the same so you have rather high death count instead of severely injured people. (If for example you're in SP they will be laying as if their dead and not moving or anything, you'll hear random coughing cause their near death) 3) If we handcuff a Opfor/Independant random soldier they disappear few seconds later, why? Bugs 1) Medics do not heal units. 2) When using ACE interaction menu on a bleeding or injured guy or anyone whose injured it always says 'They appear to be fine' when we examine them, and only seem to have the option of Morphine and Ephinerine. highhead 20 Posted February 14, 2013 (edited) Hey Giallusto, I suggest you delete all related ace-params completely from init-mods.sqf for a test to see if that makes the radiochatter go away. Please provide feedback if that worked. Zaksle, Ad. 1 AEG, look it up on armaholic Ad. 2 ACE wounds params can be set in init-mods.sqf, also for AI Ad. 2.5 Same as 2. Ad. 3 Because you move out of the location area and the AI gets cached/deleted probably. Also, if you leave the AI alive the location wont be cleared, and enemies will reeinforce that location. Keep that in mind. Ad. Bugs 1. No bug, see point 2. Ad. Bugs 2. Not replicable for us. If we carry bandages and or CATs we can apply it whereever we want it if the person is injured. Regards HH PS: which mission are you talking of regarding 'stupid AI', may need to check the base in regards of objects then Edited February 14, 2013 by highhead

I believe someone has customized a version to work in SP but (I assume) that is not supported by the MSO team. Questions 1) What is Ambient Power Grid and how does it work? 2) In ACE Mod you are able to have units pass out or be severely injured rather than dying, in MSO they always die instead of being able to put a bullet in someones arm, let them run and bleed then pass out and take them prisoner. Bugs 1) Medics do not heal units. 2) When using ACE interaction menu on a bleeding or injured guy or anyone whose injured it always says 'They appear to be fine' when we examine them, and only seem to have the option of Morphine and Ephinerine. 1 - note that it only works on maps supported by AEG 2 - as mentioned you need to enable ACE wounding system either with params or by editing the mission and adding modules.. also I believe you are referring to ACE revive system (wounded rather than killed) you will need to enable that as well For Bugs: 1 - AI medics have never healed units unless you are running something like @dapman 2 - If you are referring to trying to heal AI with the ACE interaction that is not an MSO issue. If you get this when trying to heal players there is something wrong with your ACE setup Also @zeus_ai is no longer in development (and no updates for a long time)... .are you using the ACE version of this? I would consider dropping it entirely as it can cause issues. Stick with @ASR_AI and @tpwcas and you're golden.

zaksle75 1 Posted February 15, 2013 Takistan they just run all over the place ignoring orders, gonna do what Savage said to see if it works. ACE wounds is enabled it says but everything always rather dies than being severely injured.

nailz 10 Posted February 15, 2013 The medic and heal problem sounds like either you don't have the right modules on the map, or you haven't picked up the right med gear, I pick up Bandages, Epi, Morphine and Medkits, the other ones are not needed. The radio is used by hitting you ACE interaction key and selecting SATCOMs, CAS, CASEVAC or Logitics Demand, unless of course you mean ACRE radios, which are completely different. zaksle75 1 Posted February 16, 2013 ACE wounds is on and there is the ACE healing and all that but if theres a guy bleeding it says he appears to be fine and so you dont get the full options. My character and friends never have passed out from running too much nor pass out from anything, there is no severely injured in this mission just pure death. friznit2 350 Posted February 16, 2013 Check ACE modules on the map and check the ACE settings in init-mods.sqf Beyond that it's an ACE issue and we can't help, sorry.
