Placebo 29 Posted September 17, 2013 She was happy to see me happy yes ;) Managed to get a couple of hours in before work dragged me back (damn you Ota!), very impressive so far considering the antiquated hardware it's running on.

Flash Thunder 10 Posted September 18, 2013 GTA 5 is stunning i can't wait for a PC version. Just played 12 hours today on Xbox 360. :D
krycek 349 Posted September 18, 2013 I've actually tried to have a honest(mostly) life in GTA IV in one experimental playthrough.:p Basically I killed only on missions(was unavoidable) and outside of them I was a good law-abiding citizen.Sadly without safe jobs like taxi driver or pimping from San Andreas I couldn't had enough cash so I started again following npcs to atms and beating them with my baseball bat.In my defense I did call an ambulance everytime after taking their cash.Such is life in GTA. Wonder if they have more jobs in V this time and more varied than the "drive there, shoot the guy/s".Property buying is back so I guess that would make decent bucks. bangtail 0 Posted September 18, 2013 The temptation to buy it for 360 is hard to resist but it's so much more fun to play with mouse/keyboard and without the limitations of 8 year old hardware. I've come close to clicking 'buy' several times in the last few days but I'm going to hold out (I think ;) ). Nice to see others are enjoying it and that it is up to the usual high standards of GTA games.
mrcash2009 0 Posted September 18, 2013 (edited) Seems its a mixed response with quite a few complaints about realism in this new version heres a video review which I think reflects other forums about it: lPYmvOOVclQ BTW if you are really bored you can watch an entire 3 hour 20 mins live stream archive: I cant speak for the guy playing (annoying) but if you want to skip through it to get some idea then its a good video for that at least. Cant say that it does anything for me any-more TBH but too old for this type of thing now, next gen will be the one to watch for and even after all of this I STILL prefer to see RDR for PC which wont happen. LOL! Thanks for the laughs man, that was hilarious :) I'd actually LOVE to have those type of mini-games in Arma -change a tire, construct a beam on a building etc...that would give PvP that Ai feel of needing something to do when not under fire. +1 for RDR PC! mrcash2009 0 Posted September 18, 2013 :) Seriously though I have read some mixed reactions all jokes aside. Becuase of the engine jump hasnt happened and this being an addon to the IV engine it just seems to me like a massive GTAIV DLC in many ways. If it was scaled to DLC size and released as a IV DLC after TBOGT I dont think people would have bat an eyelid.
krycek 349 Posted September 18, 2013 I'm hearing some troublesome stuff,is it true you can buy only business but not safehouses in sp??Can anyone playing the "inferior" version confirm or deny this?If true I hate it when devs force gameplay elements to mp. From what I read it seems that people aren't very satisfied with car damage too,a bit tank-like.

If it was scaled to DLC size and released as a IV DLC after TBOGT I dont think people would have bat an eyelid. I've been watching a few streams over the last few days, and while I can see why you'd get that feeling initially, for me, it's due to something very specific. The graphical jump isn't the same as IV and the character animations/ragdoll feel like IV. And that's about it for what I can say that reminds me of IV. I'm trying not to spoil myself while waiting for the PC version, but even so from the amount of detail and content that I'm seeing, it fully justifies it's price tag and the title of a standalone. If you look at SR:IV as a direct competitor and many other AAA titles with the same price tag, GTA V seems to be one of the rare examples today which will take your hard earned cash and entertain you for quite a while with it's single player content alone. Additionally, the online component seems to be given some thought this time around as well so it will be interesting to see what happens with that.
Placebo 29 Posted September 19, 2013 I'd say every single aspect is better than GTAIV and in no way shape or form does it at any point feel like GTAIV DLC.

I wasnt actually suggesting its worth in comparison. It was a hypothetical "if" it was a DLC (smaller version). ---------- Post added at 10:12 ---------- Previous post was at 10:11 ---------- I'd say every single aspect is better than GTAIV and in no way shape or form does it at any point feel like GTAIV DLC. Well you actually have the game so I wouldn't disagree on that. I notice you have control of a dog so Im sure you have got the Ifruit app for it :) Still more interested in what can come from Next Gen renditions (imagine what that may look and feel like). For PC players I bet nearly all watch it and like aspects but then cant see past the jaggiez, poppins, low draw distance, lower res textures, medium traffic level and peds. It shouldn't be everything and I see what they are doing with old console kit (impressive for that alone) but if it does land for PC I bet many will cry if they see the same and only get a little more performance once they bump it up slightly, that will be a fun forum read. I hope they learned from IV and release with proper shadowing (seems it will going by lighting updates) AA support (FFS) and the killer replay editor with more features. Also it seems to me that Rockstar finally got the message from ENB creator going by the lighting they have now added, becuase it looks much more like ENB running, I do like the sun rays effect thats very nice. I would like to see more rain/thunder videos I can only find this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vCq_5jYK4k I realise its not an area for much bad weather, but wonder if anyone has found anymore. Tonci87 163 Posted September 19, 2013 What´s up with that ifruit app, how does this work? Do you have to download the app to enjoy certain parts of the game?

Flash Thunder 10 Posted September 20, 2013 I love the game there are only a couple minor quirks i have with the game and sad of the lack of cheat codes so far. No health armor, weapons, fighter jet, tank or police vehicles. I'm enjoying the narrative a lot I really want a PC version to come out which I will also buy. we should all create a crew on GTA online when it launches on the 1st Oct. :D PS: Its funny how R* makes fun of the data mining scandals of the NSA which I bet my bottom dollar their iFruit App collects data too and gives it to the Illuminati folks. ;)
