If you could decide the author of A3 campaign

Recommended Posts

...Who would you choose? Being a bit too young for a real old-school wargaming Grognard, I can still remember many lazy weekends of SPI and GDW games ;)

Thus, my choise would be the double team Frank Chadwick and Loren Wiseman of Twilight 2000 fame.

Why? Well, ever since OFP I've suspected the Španěls have either used that game as a model or they are latent telepaths picking up echoes of T2K rpg sessions :D

T2000 wasn't the best pen & paper rpg ever but the scenarios read like the guys writing them knew their military stuff. The scenario Going Home had this feeling of playing a few regular soldiers, trying to survive the aftermath of a huge conflict. Just the kind of thing Arma series would be perfect for.

Enough of pre-computer era nostalgia thou. The question for discussion remains:

Who'd You choose to author the single player/co-op campaign in the release of Arma III?

Myself.

Because obviously I´m better than anybody else out there.

If I can´t do it, Hideo Kojima.

James Cameron.

And after you played through the campaign you get a tshirt from BIS saying 'I SURVIVED ARMA3' ! :D

My vote would go to a double team of Bardosy and Zipper, they have a proven track record of producing nice campaigns for BI games.

Sander

Alastair Reynolds! It is sci fi, right? :D

I kid... but honestly, I couldn't say. I've read "The Bear and the Dragon" by Tom Clancy and thought it was okay.

Ian McPhedran.... actually,

Someone who fits into this category of a small unconventional unit in the middle of a hostile environment, being a water operator and working closely with the SBS - Keith Fennel (http://www.keithfennell.com.au/).

We'd see something fictional but satisfying and full of action.

A book author rather than a game designer but I would like to see Ken Follet pen the story for ArmA 3. He's an historical novelist mainly but wrote a great book about the First World War called the Fall of Giants. His charachter development and the way he can put action into words would make him great for writing an imersive storyline for the game.

I say combine Zipper, Bardosy, Sick1 and SaOk and Gaia and you will have the ultimate campaign!

Whoever played the most part in making the Cold War Crisis campaign I guess. :)

Not Gaia.

His missions are very well-made but I just think they're way too unrealistic and ridiculous (reference EW and PMC). BAF campaign was nice but a bit short.

No wait. I just had the most amazing Idea.

An original story.

How it would be with....

Tarantino => Lots of blood, related to all his movies and most of the cast dies in the end. (Maybe Nazis, vampires or zombies appear too)

Scorsese => Treasons, WTF? moments, nice shootouts and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Kojima => 15 hours of cutscenes with sad moments and crazy russians\persians with weird powers to fight against.

Uwe Boll => Automatic Fail.

Coppola => 35 hours of gameplay. In the part I\non director Edition.

Hitchcock => Fear...out of nowhere, goats and cows start to fight Miller.

ehm.... Im not good at this. =\

I certainly would like to see some input from Gaia, maybe a different author for each mission could be kinda cool.

Imagine the atmosphere Gaia could create when Miller washes up on a random beach in Lemnos :upside:

the mission is compromised and the task force destroyed, leaving Cpt. Scott Miller washed ashore upon the hostile island.
