klamacz 448 Posted May 11, 2011 so you know whats inside.Pls tell us what kind of info did you find? I'm not an expert in ASM, cannot say exactly what this App is doing. I found where in memory it holds actual time and date (same as shown on screen). It also calculates some sort of hash - 64bit (8 bytes), its not simply incrementing, so its not like cpu timer. I tried to find texts, but no luck. Actually I think that if there is some sort of encryption on data calculated then we wont break it. Unless of course you are ASM-coder and you think in memory addresses and pointers instead of words :)
Bulldogs 10 Posted May 11, 2011 It's ArmA 3000, have to travel through time to prevent a group of nerds from destroying the world. To do this you'll have to create an elaborate treasure hunt of sorts, something to do with Persian Hackers....

Bulldogs 10 Posted May 11, 2011 I predict a revolution too. I predict this timer will do a full revolution. Has anyone time the amount of time it takes for a year to pass on the timer, then use that to calculate the exact time and date it will be after 42 hours? soul_assassin 1750 Posted May 11, 2011 hmm found something weird using cheat engine, found the adress entry for month and can succesfully change it to any month except OCT when u input month 10 it sets it to DEC, when i set it to SEP then it jumps straight to DEC at the end of the month, then back to NOV at the next month hmm coincidentally the only found dates so far are also in OCT? Innomadic 10 Posted May 11, 2011 (edited) Not a clue, just a warning. http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/03/31/exclusive-interview-bohemia-interactive-talks-take-on-helicopters/ JC: Nailing down the helicopter experience demands a lot of work in terms of adding brand new features, refining more familiar ones, and optimising the game for flying helicopters. The buzzwords circulating around our studios alone goes some way to reveal the extent of the work at hand: picture in picture, increased view- and draw-distance, interactive cockpits, sling loads. But perhaps we’ve said enough for now! In fact, another cool aspect of Take On project is that it’ll allow us to look at improving various aspects of our simulation technology that could potentially be integrated into some possible future games with a much larger scope. ...and... JC: Take On Helicopters is full-size game and, therefore, we expect it to have price point of a normal full PC game. Plus, we are considering some nice incentives online for our dedicated troops on the ground in Arma 2 that are interested in learning something new. If they announce - after all this - Take On Helicopter DLC... I will murder 1 kitten every hour until they say they have A3 ready for release. The kittens will be cute. The man is serious... In all seriousness, this COULD turn out to be something for Take On.... Edited May 11, 2011 by Innomadic
