I just played my first night mission, and detected those beautiful muzzle flashes for the first time:

Absolutely great! You really did a wonderful work!

Three small wishes / suggestions if you please ;-) :

- Could the automatic weapon resting be made a little bit more tolerant reagarding the aiming direction? In real life you would adopt your stance to allow targeting higher or lower and still keeping your weapon rested on a wall or window sill.

- Maybe decrease the weapon sway due to exhaustion a bit? The ArmA engine makes weapon sway feel very awkward anyway, and when it is too strong it tends to become frustrating.

- It has already been reported before, but I think it affects more vehicles:

Bazookas often seem to pass through German vehicles, not only the SdKfz, but also the Tiger and some of the others.

Again, many thanks for this stunning mod! The efforts you dedicated to details like the infantry riding on tanks, the reloading animations, the map etc. make this mod outstanding!

I have been watching your work from the first announcements for OFP about ten years ago, and to me this release is the gaming highlight of at least this year :bounce3:

I agree with oldy, the weapon sway is too strong and becomes frustrating especially if injured or exhausted. Everything else in the mod is excellent.

What settings for AI skill and precision do you recommend? I use:

skillFriendly=0.98500001;

skillEnemy=0.98500001;

precisionFriendly=0.40000001;

precisionEnemy=0.40000001;

And it seems OK with regular ARMA but here it seems like AI is not deadly enough.

Otherwise great mod, tanks are awesome!

We're now in the final process of packing up and readying distribution of 2.51 so I thought you guys might want a peak at the fixes included, there is no planned new content in 2.51 but we're already working on new units and further enhancements for future patches such as the Hanomag improvements recently shown.

Among the config fixes are some (hopefully) big improvements to AI performance as well as some script errors that were severely hindering servers/the mod's general performance over an extended period of time (and use of certain units). Fingers crossed you should find dedicated servers a lot more stable than they were with the previous release.

The current plan is to first roll out the patch version for those users with 2.5 already, then release the new 2.51 installer for those still waiting to get the mod. Links will be posted as soon as they are available and tested!

And what size of a patch will be ?

Nope, no new maps are planned for release soon. We are working on a new area for the upcoming British units but it'll take a while yet, it requires a few custom models but we'll be putting out more info on that soon when there's something worth seeing :)

Nope before there were a few issues with the whole hatch rotating with the players movement rather than just the MG, on fixing the turret not moving I then had a floating MG where there was no rail (as it was no longer rotating with the rest of the hatch) so had to limit its rotation to only the railed part of the hatch. Unfortunately it means the tiger commander has a limited view unless turned out using freelook.

Hello everyone. Bit of an update on the Vehicular front here!

I'm posting some work in progess screens of some of the vehicles set for the next major release. All that is left to do on these pretties is put them into the engine and plug them into our config system. Thankfully, due to Canukausiuka's awesome config layout skills, this is a simple plug and play task... kind of...

1st up we have the new Hetzer model, being worked on by Biiskaps, our newest member to the art team. Biiskaps is doing stirling work and I can't wait to hide in some hedgerows with this beast!

Next we have the Universal carrier model. You may have seen this on the forums already, however, it has been modified since then and is waiting to transport British troops to go kick some ass!
