maddogx 13 Posted October 14, 2010 This beta fixes all map's collision detection func or only on Utes?So I would guess no more "jumping for joy" vehicles anymore? Heh, wouldn't that be great? ;) But no, I'm afraid this fix is not related to "jumping for joy" vehicles.
Muahaha 10 Posted October 14, 2010 Heh, wouldn't that be great? ;)But no, I'm afraid this fix is not related to "jumping for joy" vehicles. So live another day for the jumpy vehicles. I hope it gets nailed soon.
connos 10 Posted October 14, 2010 Thanks BI. This is the best support I ever saw for a game.
fusionofp 0 Posted October 14, 2010 AI still stuck in danger mode, this was fixed a few betas back but it's here again.
kroky 1 Posted October 14, 2010 I would like to see the "injured when walking on rocks" bug. It happened to me and to my AI teammates several times. The character jumps up (like the vehicles) and gets injured.
santafee 10 Posted October 14, 2010 (edited) There is a new Bug with Choppers now. Just set any Helo flying in the Editor, give it 2 Waypoints, and sit in as Gunner for Example. they nicking up and down with the nose the whole time, this looks very strange.... Its like sitting in a swingboat now. Edited October 14, 2010 by Himmelsfeuer
=kct=blackmamba 44 Posted October 14, 2010 yeah i noticed.. maybe got something to do with the way AI avoids a collision but its pretty anoying and looks BAD specialy when i set the chopper to fly higher sometimes when i let them fly over mountains they collide with the next hill cause they dive to fast to be able to climb the next hill feels like sitting in a race car. (i think) the AI is scanning downwards to much, maybe the devs can let AI scan more whats infront of him instead.

Baron von Beer 0 Posted October 14, 2010 Problem added on Tracker with easy example mission:http://dev-heaven.net/issues/14410 Hopefully it gets bug bombed. Very detrimental to the AI's health in hilly terrain, never mind the visual aspect. Thanks for the continued work BIS. :)

celery 8 Posted October 14, 2010 Any new ArmA II only betas or patches coming ? I think it's safe to say that OA is the way to go from now on.
NoRailgunner 0 Posted October 15, 2010 Many people still like and do play with A2 + OA content so an update or upgrade for A2 is much more appreciated than leaving this content somewhere far behind. :)
celery 8 Posted October 15, 2010 Many people still like and do play with A2 + OA content so an update or upgrade for A2 is much more appreciated than leaving this content somewhere far behind. :) A2+OA (=Combined Operations) is getting updated all the time, as it's Operation Arrowhead with Arma 2 content. NoRailgunner 0 Posted October 15, 2010 One could say A2 was there first and OA is "only" the standalone expansion. Upgrading both = win! Otherwise CO could suffer even more from old A2 issues+bugs. Guess there is no need for BIS to reinvent the wheel over and over again. ;)
das attorney 858 Posted October 15, 2010 Thanks for the continued support BIS. I've noticed a few bugs cropping up in recent betas. I'll list them now (while I can remember and then update with examples/repros when I get home later from work). Script Error using BIS artillery module in certain situations Script error when playing killed.sqs in a mission Units stuck in danger mode Units unresponsive after player assumes control then 'jumps into' another unit

Guess there is no need for BIS to reinvent the wheel over and over again. ;) They are different engines, so upgrading both will only continue to be more difficult. With CO you get all the A2 content anyway, so upgrading to CO just makes sense. You keep all the content, get the better engine and so much more.
=wfl= sgt bilko 10 Posted October 15, 2010 I have an old test mission, basically a heli with the player "in cargo" following a clockwise waypoint trip around Chernarus. There is a new Bug with Choppers now.Just set any Helo flying in the Editor, give it 2 Waypoints, and sit in as Gunner for Example. they nicking up and down with the nose the whole time, this looks very strange.... Its like sitting in a swingboat now. - The heli is bobbing up and down all the time. Makes me nauseous in 1st PV and looks unrealistic in 3rd PV. yeah i noticed..maybe got something to do with the way AI avoids a collision but its pretty anoying and looks BAD specialy when i set the chopper to fly higher sometimes when i let them fly over mountains they collide with the next hill cause they dive to fast to be able to climb the next hill feels like sitting in a race car. (i think) the AI is scanning downwards to much, maybe the devs can let AI scan more whats infront of him instead. - It crashes into the trees trying to climb uphill, never happened in stable or betas pre 74xxx. thr0tt 12 Posted October 15, 2010 Was just a question as I have installed my Morphicon version on my sons PC And I have boxed A2 and OA so I can play with him but only the last beta for A2. Not that important for me really as he's only 4 and doesn't mind the bugs lol. (no enemies just running around in and out of vehicles and chasing rabbits and talking to daddy via voip). If you have both OA and A2 content when you start the game, you have Combined Operations.
KeyCat 131 Posted October 15, 2010 So was it only me that couldn't order the AI gunner in a tank/APC to fire/hold fire from the Commander position? /KC
CarlGustaffa 4 Posted October 15, 2010 As US Army, we arrested some Taki guy today (Domination based script), and when he joined our team his voice was completely screwed up, waaaay low pitch. Not sure if server was updated to this patch but clients were updated.
