So for the TNA I can't decide if I should do a more reddish bdu or take a pic of mine, which is more of a flat brown and dark purple (was black).

My boy enad says redish = bad

so here's the status on my projects. Workdays are in parentheses, add them up and you should get an idea of when it'll be done. My main focus is the 173rd dudes which have been waiting for oh-so long.

US Army:

173rd:

arma2oa_2011_01_04_19_11_17_29.jpg

To do:

- gear variations (5+

- completion of ACU and IOTV texture (5-10 days)

- IBA with side SAPI (5 days)

- ACU collars (1 day)

- configgery (no idea. Depends how much work)

Maybe early February

OEF 2001-2004 (Rangers, SF and regulars)

BDU base (probably 10 days, already started.)

IBA - needs to be molded to body and weighted, hour or two job. texturing done

variation (not sure, may be a while, unmodeled gear)

Maybe May.

OEF 2011 - Essentially the 173rd , but in multicam and with the new KDH plate carrier and/or Gen. 2 IOTV. It won't take too long.

maybe May.

Marines -

OIF marines (circa 2007)

MTV vest.. waiting on BDU base which i will modify to the standard desert marpat uniform (mccu or whatever) and then some FROG gear. ETA? no clue, but it will share common gear with already made stuff.

Maybe during the summer or before.

OEF marines (circa 2010)

SPC vest! maybe in the future. No 'sure' plans yet.

Air Force:

maybe some PJ's but we'll see how my SF stuff goes. Same with 173rd.

Maybe towards the end of this year..

Navy:

Seals and SWCC (for dear animalmother92). Yes! In the future though. Maybe towards the end of this year.

peace out yo

The helmet looks like it's sitting a bit too far forward on the head, or perhaps tilted too far down in the front.

Workdays are in parentheses

Why to the americans have a longer, more complicated way of saying everything lol, I'll stick with brackets :)

Anyway, on a more serious note, good luck with doing all those projects, and as for image hosters, I use picdrop.net, you can just drag and drop the pics you want into the upload window and away it goes :)

The folds look nice and realistic BUT they dont look realistic for a bent arm. When you are sculpting it, its easy to get carried away by the A pose of the sample model. Try to look at more ref pics, after all the bent arm is the predominant pose in arma. But otherwise, ur technique is top notch.

Impressive work Fox. Can't wait to use them in game.

I know that this is not the threat, but what about SAD/SOG ?

Thank you for your work.

DR midnight was really the powerhorse for that project. I just set stuff up and textured some of it. Unfortunately, he is very busy these days with RL. It's not dead, but it might be a while until he has time and motivation.

anyway, i sent out my stuff to testers and it looks like my normal maps got messed up during binarization or something, so if you have it, hold on tight until i fix it, ill send it back out to you guys..

here's the latest thing i added :

most of the gear is jonny's , if not all of the gear models. I ought to buy him a beer one day, he's helped me quite a bit with these units as well with his knowledge.
