  1. Here's something really wierd, (I'll make a short video if you need me to) I was messing around with the house lights and set my radius to 1500m. I know that's ridiculous, but "just to "f" around, and when TPW started, all the city lights started going out, block by block until everything went black with the exception of the TPW house lights. So... With TPW, City lights go out With out TPW, City lights stay on

    @Haleks I know you mentioned a few posts back that you were looking at an issue regarding exploding vehicles. I just want to report that I am still seeing this happen. As far as what others are reporting I haven't encountered anything but then again I haven't tried to sleep, or scavenge vehicles. (I changed the time acceleration, nice long days ) If I do see anything, I'll post. Incidentally, I started playing "Escape", so my question is, Would the issues that players might be experiencing also show up similarly in this mission as they do in Ravage? I assume so.

    searching for cooperation building a new a3-map

    I might as well begin with a blunt and unwelcome reply in that it is doubtful you will find someone to fit the bill of what you're asking even if it does involve money. I may be wrong and you may get lucky and someone may pop up and help you but the basic consensus about terrain building is that everyone will tell you that you should learn it on your own. I think for the most part as you mentioned earlier "Time" or lack thereof is the culprit. The urge to create something can be overwhelming especially when you have piddled around the edges and learn some of the basics that are needed to make a great looking terrain. I too thought many many times about creating a Terrain and in fact had one nicely started but came up against a wall or two and was never able to proceed further. The brain was just never capable, and like you said, making a terrain is no easy task, not to mention a great looking one. I'm an old geezer to (58), and I marvel at some of the abilities that these guys have and how easy it seems to come for them. Finally, all I can suggest at this point is go on Discord and maybe ask around a little bit there and if you don't get what you have originally asked for someone may be able to steer you to your ultimate success. You also stated that you were getting bored of some of the terrains that you listed, but have you tried Cambodia by Bludski, it's truly incredible.

    ...AAAAAAAAHAH !!!! LOL I started playing this again and as I made my way into Pergos when vehicles started going off everywhere. Not having played much prior, I thought, WTF??? fps went under the sidewalk. Anyway, on to what I wanted to ask before I read your post,.. I hope this doesn't seen like a moronic question, being this mod was made specifically as an apocalyptic style of play, but is it possible to disable zombies? I love survival style playing but would rather defend against gun toting enemy. Maybe a higher percentage of them if Z's can be removed. either way I still enjoy the challenge ( never made it to day 2 yet ! ) Thanks for your work Haleks

    Visual Upgrade – Feedback

    ...Arma is not supported at this time ...def' will keep an eye. Have you seen this? It has some ability. The problem with all of these effects is that you change "everything", like a mask.

No need to change your mod just for me, Thanks for the tip Partz ....Speaking of lights, (might be better to post in a new or existing "light" thread), I noticed that there are so very few lights. Geez, Kavala was pretty much pitch black except the hospital landing pad and a couple of gas stations. Did BI disable them? If so, what is the point of the UI setup function? My Dynamic lights are set to Ultra. So, TPW, getting back to trying to light up the houses in the neighborhood, I set my house light radius to 500m but as I walk through town, they still "pop" on somewhere around the 35m to50m mark. ??
  10. RS=ReShade I was wondering if reshade could be adjusted to show a wider area of light that gets emitted from street lights and light sticks for example. But I get the sense that that's internal and needs to be fixed in the game engine
  11. Hello Mr TPW In the "houselights" section, could you add a distance parameter? When I'm prowling around town, the lights pop on and off as I move. Wondering if they came on at a distance of say 50 or 100 meters away might help. On the other hand I've noticed that Arma lights can blink on and off depending on how you peek around corners and such. Maybe this just can't be helped. Do these lights impact fps? not that i've noticed so maybe even have a setting as far away as 500 meters. Why that far? It might look cool to be scoping a town or village and seeing a lot more houses with lights on.
  12. Using RS is as easy as pie. Thanks for that. I have been wanting to play more night missions but the lighting is just horrible post 160. I am going to try to fiddle with the CFG a bit to see if I can get the scene a bit better. Is this something that cannot be adjusted with RS or is this an Arma Engine adjust only. If anyone has made a night preset that improves things, please post.

    cannot play scenario

    Iv'e been playing Dynamic Recon Ops lately. Played one on Altis recently with no problem. I decided to subscribe to Stratis but when I press play, I am looking at the opening pic and the water above. I haven't spawned as of yet. Tried Malden and Tanoa, both ok. Altis and Stratis both will not play Tried with zero mods as well

    Enhanced Movement

    That said, I hope you don't throw up your hands in disgust. THIS mod is one that makes or breaks the game. BTW, sorry to report (looking back a few pages I don't see anyone else experiencing) the slow motion bug is back after climbing. In a coop play, I had it happen very soon while tonight, after playing/resuming for a few hours until it struck. Thanks BB

    Visual Upgrade – Feedback

    Pre 160 the visual affect was pretty much spot on for Altis and Stratis. Post 160 the objective was to make Tanoa look like it was supposed to, being in a different part of the world. (IMO, they came up short.) Why then couldn't a "Lighting" mod be made to run with the respective terrains? I've messed around with SweetFX a fair bit and this gave me the idea to create a simple UI or switcher so that you choose which application to use. DX10 allows games to be changed on the fly. I do use a switcher now but I think Bi might have better lighting resources to make something like this with more detailed options.

    ... then again winter is generally quieter for the most part. Even vehicles are much quieter in winter, but then again that's a whole other can of worms (JSRS). As far as wildlife sounds go, maybe some sparse blue jay, sparrow, crow, and cardinal sounds. The humming of all the bugs should be gone. Would you mind if I critique the sounds of the cracking of trees? Admittedly I have tried to learn how to do a few things for Arma and I just can't, so I appreciate how much work goes into making a mod. The tree cracking IMHO, might be a bit loud and repetitious. It sounds as if the cracking is always coming from the same position in my headset. A bit hard to explain but I wonder if those sounds could be heard as if coming from random places in the map as you move through it. Some might be loud as if directly overhead, while others might be heard from further away front, back, right, left, and thus a bit quieter. Thanks for a beautiful perspective.

    Great work! I was going to mention that earlier and thought that might be an insane amount of work. Namalsk has the same thing. Will the hills be slippery when driving and/or on foot? Will you be able to re-texture the rocks?
