the problem is, that it is not only the terrain texture or something. maybe we can place somekind of barrier but as i said before...atm this will not happen in the near future.

it´s not simple as that buddy.. first you can´t copy and paste terrain.. and especially not from a diffrent map and second no you also can´t flatten the terrain without placing all objects new by hand, because all objects will stay in place. i´m very sorry, but i think you have to live with it as it is

in short...sorry that you´ve wasted your time. We have had 2 possible ways to handle these objects.. NON Solid: Plane/Cars sinks in while driving on the surface, looks not perfect but it is working. Solid: Plane/Cars drives on surface and will explode after 20 meters because it will collide with the next objects edges please decide on your own what is the better solution. i can´t reproduce the hopping or bumping. characters are moving on top of the pavement and you can lay down while still on top of the tarmac object. but you maybe know the Arma physics...that is happening in that case i think. another example destroy a house full of infantry, when the engine does the last animation (character dead, falling to the ground) the bodies will still fly where they were before the collapse of the building. so in the end we can´t do anything at this part. No plans to replace trees or anything with apex stuff, because we want it to be "apex depency free". after putting this beauty out to the players we all needed a break from arma and especially taunus but it is NOT trown in the trashbin, so who knows what is happenning in the future :-) but if you write down all the stuff we would be happy to fix most of the issues on a later date. Problem is that this runway is not made only as textures. it´s made as objects. so if you have it as object you have two possible ways how to handle it. first: make it solid = problem is, that your aircraft/vehicle will get damage or get destroyed when driving over it Second: make it non solid = you can drive "on" it and nothing will happen. problem is, these things behaving diffrent on "giving" damage to your vehicle or getting damage to itself with explosion damage. there is nothing we can do about it without changing it to "your vehicle will get destroyed" i hope you understand my approach to explain it ;-) Regards Chaser

u have to make a mission file for multiplayer and every client has to have xcam installed and loaded..that´s it. just connect to the same server then and you are good to go Regards Chaser -

Congrats on the realease guys. Nice piece of art you guys delivered there. one thing, look at the rpt, you will find a lot of "strange convex components" and "Config class missing" in there, something to fix with a patch later. and by the way putting camp fires and training targets on a map looks good, but because these are mission objects they will produce RPT spam and can´t be used as they were intended, maybe think about deleting them and let the mission maker place them via mission file. sure it does, but you have to enable the brushmode and use the hotkey then -
thank you. what kind of building do you mean? in general we have to keep some buildings which are non enterable because of two reasons. First: they look good and are fitting the environment Second: an enterable building will have way more polygons and surfaces which means, that it will eat more performance and performance is the most told fact that "makes taunus senseless" and whatever, that some of the community hates us for Regards Chaser

Hey Cype, good job with the update. One question. I´ve tried to load the new version with Cup Complete 1.30, but at the main airport all of the buildings are gone. Is this something i ve misunderstood? Or do i have to load JBAD to see ALL the objects? Regards Chaser -

u have to select the object first... i.g. it makes often no sense to built multiple objects with the slope...u can also use the singlebrush to place objects in slope mode. works perfectly for rocks too. -

you could write idown a sort of "allowed modpack" and then everyone could do maybe some trees or something? and send it to you but it has to be clear what kind of mod or addon (cup, xcam, A3default,etc) and what version should be used. just an idea

only depends on your libraries...if u only use vanilla objects u don´t need the xcam objects...it´s all up to yourself and Eden btw is not good in terms of handling if u want to build larger object compositions like all fence or a wall eden is good for mission making but not for terrain population in my opinion Best Regards Chaser

After some testing i think we are happy with the results overall. The map runs more fluid now and i like to fly with a helicopter and a huge viewdistance. I hope u guys will enjoy the TAUNUS map now more than before.. Thank u BI to bring the engine to the 64 bit level. Regards Chaser

as somebody stated on your last thread "UH-60Pack" is not a classname nor an vehicle type eg "air" try to use the actual classname of the chopper also..please read the tutorials duda made in this thread. maybe u will get your answers there too

First...again...IF u have issues with other mods, please ask in the mod forums of exile or ask the infistar dev. yes we know taunus is hardware demanding, but it is possible to run it with exile and also with infistar (tested on my own end). Regards Chaser
