    Ps4 update

You may want to ask that in the DayZ Forums.
  3. Can't hear issues in the video, on my plebby speakers.. So not the issue I'm thinking of.

    Old man

Over 50. Basically the definition of "old" 😄
  5. Dedmen

Why start DayZ on launch? WTF?

probably loaded dayz via command line parameters. Check the properties of Arma 2 OA in your steam, you probably have command line parameters configured

    Old man's wallpaper

Its a painting from Tanoa. Can recognize the hut and the building on the right. Sadly can't make out the signature in bottom right. I'll check if I can find something...
  7. Yes video please, sounds familiar..
  8. Load CBA. You are missing CBA_A3.
  9. Not really. Guy from my unit told me about that they look similar a couple days ago. Weird that this topic came up here at right that time 🤔 ripping/stealing game assets is illegal yes. Remaking similar looking stuff is not.

    Anticheat?

Yeah, would say the same after seeing these videos. Unless you have your own recordings of the exact same time that show that you indeed had recoil. no. Thats not the same mission though, but same gun. Maybe the admin who banned you doesn't know how little recoil that gun has and he should check for himself. They wouldn't show if you are cheating.
  11. no, dev branch is 1.99 in the server.cfg there is a requiredBuild/minimumBuild something like that option. Thats probably set too high.
  12. These animations looks suspiciously exactly the same as from splinter cell 🤔, they are too extremely similar to be a coincidence. Actually looking at an old video from 2014, I find 3 animations that look exactly like splinter cell. They are actually the MOCAP Melee mod, that was also submitted to Make Arma Not War.

Hidden post on my own thread

We have some automatic spam detection that doesn't hide posts, but flags them for manual approval. For example if you have many links in your post. If you have issues with that you can just click "Report post" on your hidden post and a moderator will look at it.
  14. I think 303 was pre-hotfix, these aren't kept. Why do you want that specific one?

    Discord Ban

I already changed your ban reason last sunday, from underage, to repeated trolling/spamming despite prior warnings and reduced your bantime (sorry forgot to tell). Just wait till its over. I took your non-answer and repeated stance on "I'm not 12" as a confirmation to my question. Could've gotten this done quicker if you didn't wait 2 months to confirm my question. Repeated rule violations after multiple warnings have a lower temp ban time than a ToS violation, though your next violation will yield a permanent ban. When deciding between temp or perm ban, one-time offenses like age violation aren't taken as much into account as repeated prior rule violations and ignorance of warnings are. The former being a one-time messup, the latter showing a systemic problem with the user itself that warnings and punishments can't fix.
  16. https://github.com/michail-nikolaev/task-force-arma-3-radio/commits/master Want to overhaul spectator mode, its currently way too crusty. And also add support for using other peoples radios while just standing nearby, the backend for that is already implemented but not the frontend. Yeah i wanted that, but not the time or modelling skills, and the ILBE antenna mod already exists. No 😄
  17. My "Sort by Newest" isn't finding a ticket about that.
  18. Click on it. https://github.com/ThomasTKO/Australia/commit/7c54e0e10976ec572a3382a0d3185bbba6435add Oh whats that, the whole mission.sqm is still there! https://github.com/ThomasTKO/Australia/tree/afc2298d982c9f33c03e9c9f9ad631cb825a783c The wonders of git.
  19. A vehicle is local to its driver. If its spawned on the server, its local to the server. A player gets in driver, its now local to the player. The player leaves the vehicle, still local to the player until someone else gets into driver, or the current owner disconnects from the server. None, commands don't know if they were remoteExecuted (generally)
  20. https://feedback.bistudio.com/w/ft_a3_howto/gamecrash/ <- Even if its mod caused, or even if I just close with "uh.. dunno" atleast have a report up so that if its a game bug, it can be fixed.

    zues spawned objects error

You placed a vehicle with AI right? It means that (wherever that log is printed) the machine (client or server or HC or whatever) that received that a message about a AI unit update, doesn't know that unit that its getting the update for. That unit exists, and sends updates to other machines, but the machines don't even know that object exists, they print an error and ignore the message. For some reason, when you spawn that object the server doesn't notice that you ever did, the server thinks it doesn't exist (maybe the server couldn't spawn it, because its missing mods?) and when the unit you spawned then sends a status update to the server, the server doesn't know what to do as that unit shouldn't exist.
  22. Yes. Yup. Its a engine thingymabob. no, opposite actually. Adding netcode stuffs is ALOT of work and often not worth it. Are you sure? Doesn't just running it locally at the vehicle owner work? https://github.com/acemod/ACE3/blob/d034324e888d28e103a401990e9446683d4df1eb/addons/rearm/functions/fnc_rearmSuccessLocal.sqf#L34 ACE only runs it locally on the owner, and it works for them. Well the vehicle syncs its loadout to other players. Same as player inventories, or vehicle inventories or tons of other stuff. Correct. No. Depends on the commands/stuff you want to do. For example hideObject would need JIP flag, as the object itself doesn't even know its hidden (if its remote). The wiki is correct, its effect local, technically arg global, but arg global won't work in practice, as the vehicle owner will re-sync its loadout. So practically its arg and effect local. local/global indicator on biki doesn't always give you a accurate indication on whether networking is used. For example (pre Arma 3) https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/addMagazine Arg Local, Effect global. The command itself doesn't do any (pre-Arma3) networking, its effect is not actually global, it only adds a magazine to a local unit, and the unit itself then syncs the loadout change along with its position, animation, damage state. It looks global in the end, but thats not the commands fault. Basically same thing for setPylonLoadout, its also Effect Local (Same as addMagazine with how I explained it) but what you see in the end, seems like Effect Global, but thats not the command itself, but the engines independent state synchronization. Not quite. The command ran on the vehicle owner, and the vehicle owner synced its state to the server. Arma is famous about the server basically having no authority.

    returning after a long absence

That is VBS, not Arma. You can see videos of the new VBS Blue stuff on the BISIM youtube channel.
