  1. This is a great post and valid point, but I think the unfortunate truth is that it will be up to us (the community) to create some kind of anti-grief and anti-cheat tools using scripts. In arma 2 and 3, there were several effective tools like this, so I'm guessing it's only a matter of time until some talented modder/scripter creates something. I might start working on something myself (even though i'm a total noob when it comes to Enfusion scripting), because it is getting quite bad, I agree. If I come up with anything I will for sure post it for public use.

    Website server browser

There is one website I've found that lists Reforger servers: https://top-games.net/arma-reforger Hopefully BattleMetrics adds it soon, though.

    Server Admin Tools

Would also like to know this. It's astonishing how little documentation is available for Reforger and all these mods. I guess documentation is lowest on the priority list for BI staff and modders alike. If anyone has any info they're willing to share, please post here. 🙂

    Chat Identity Issues

This really sounds like your personal computer got infected by some malware or someone got you to install a malicious program. I've never seen anything like this in my experience playing. I suggest you run some antivirus/endpoint protection tools and reinstall Windows if you need to. Or just take your PC somewhere that can help clean it up.
  5. We've been able to replicate this on our Linux server, and subsequently also tried the same code/mission on our Windows server and confirmed it doesn't happen there. Would love to see this fixed.
  6. Thank you for updating these! Quick question: Never noticed the "*_other_windows_libraries_binaries.7z" before. Are these required now for use with the Prof/Perf Windows client binaries now, or what exactly are these files for? Sorry if this has been answered already, did not see an explanation for these specific files and hadn't noticed them before in these branches.
  7. I was also interested in doing this, so I could use Manual Fire when flying a helicopter, and then control the aim and fire of the turret. I found that when I tried to assign the analog Aim Turret functions to my joystick, it wouldn't work. But when I used a combination key along with the joystick, like holding down CTRL while using the joystick to aim, it then worked. So maybe trying using a modifier key along with it, and see if that works for you. Not sure if this is the same problem you're having, but maybe it will help. :)

    Low FPS

Hey rocketman120, I've had FPS issues in the past and found doing a few things helps. 1.) Kill, Disable, Shutdown any background programs or services that you aren't using. I made a little batch script to do this whenever I want to stop unnecessary services while I'm gaming. Feel free to try it out, although some of the services probably are different for your system, depending on what you have installed and what OS you're on. But if you're on Windows 7, it should work well. Make sure to run it as Administrator: https://pastebin.com/KEiHha2j 2.) Turn off or temporarily disable your Antivirus. Specifically, On-Access Scanning or file monitoring. This can be very resource intensive. Some AVs have a "Gamer Mode" you can enable which essentially does this. 3.) Adjust the Process Priority for your game (and other programs). To do this, open up Task Manager, and goto the Process List, right-click on arma3.exe or arma3_x64.exe, and select "Set Priority > High". This should prioritize that game's process over other processes, which can help improve performance. 4.) As far as ArmA 3 Launch Parameters, there's a couple thing's I've noticed. a.) If you have a multi-threaded CPU, enable the "Enable Hyper-Threading" parameter. DONT enable "Extra Threads" AND "CPU Count" AND "Enable Hyper-Threading", because I've found that when you enable ALL of those together, performance actually drops. However, YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary), depending on your setup. So try experimenting with these CPU-related parameters and see which works best for you. b.) Use a different Memory Allocator. I use the "Intel TBB 4 allocator - 64-bit(tbbmalloc_bi_x64), but I've had good results using other ones like XTBB (Not sure if still compatible) and JEMalloc in the past. Check out these links for more info: https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3:_Custom_Memory_Allocator c.) Set the "No Logs" parameter if you don't need to review your client-side error logs (RPT file). You really only need those logs if you are a scripter and need to view those RPT logs regularly. For most players, it's a good idea to just enable "No Logs" in order to reduce writes to disk and improve performance. If you find that you still have performance issues, try reverting your Arma3.cfg back to defaults, reset all your settings, and start from scratch. Given your setup, with an i7 6700K and GTX1080, you should be getting FPS in the range of 40 and up, to be honest. If you're not getting that, something is wrong. It could also be your disks, recommend make sure you have good SSDs and make sure they are not going bad. There's a lot more you can do but hopefully that helps a little. Feel free to message me on Steam or PM me for help anytime!
  9. Is support for Linux servers being dropped?? Will you be releasing performance binaries for ArmA 3 Linux servers in the future? I hope Linux support continues, I've been hosting ArmA servers for many years now and always prefer running them on Linux. I'm sure a lot of sysadmins will agree here. Thank you for all your hard work and your time! :)
  10. Greetings everyone! :) Just a friendly announcement here to let you all know about our gaming group and servers. Our group, Anzu's War Games (AWG or AWGames for short), has been around for several years now, and still going strong. We started out on the ArmA series but we also run many other games as well. We're a public group and anyone is welcome to join! We are not crazy about rules and regulations like some groups are, and we won't kick you out for being a part of another gaming community. Our main objective, as it's always been, is to provide a fun, exciting gaming environment for ALL to enjoy. We have fast servers, awesome admins, and a friendly community so stop by our servers or our forums sometime and check it out! http://AWGames.net http://AnzusWarGames.info https://AnzusWarGames.info/forums/ https://steamcommunity.com/groups/anzuswargames Teamspeak Server We've recently setup a new ArmA 3 server running Exile Mod on the new Tanoa map! We've also added Ryan's Zombies and Demons mod, and a spawner so that zombies spawn across the map. -- ArmA 3 ExileMod -- AWG Xi Server (ArmA 3 Exile Tanoa) Hostname: Xi.AWGames.net Port: 2382 Server name: -=[AWG Xi]=- Tanau Exile 1.0.0 ZOMBIES|Missions|Bounties|Tow/SlingLoad/Rappel|APEX | AWGames.net | www.AnzusWarGames.info Use the Steam URL below to join the server! steam://connect/nu.awgames.net:2383 The only 2 mods required to join are ExileMod and Ryan's Zombies and Demons mod, both of which can be obtained through the ArmA 3 Launcher Mods page or A3Launcher. You'll also need the ArmA 3 Apex expansion to play on the Tanoa map. Here's where you can download the mods needed to join our Exile Tanoa server: Mod Downloads: Download from ExileMod's official website: http://www.exilemod.com/downloads/ Download via A3Launcher's Mods tab: http://a3launcher.com/ (Once installed, click Mods and search for Exile and Ryan's Zombies, subscribe to both) Download from our website: http://www.awgames.net/downloads/awg_exile_mods.zip We've added lots of custom scripts to change it up and keep the game interesting and fun. See below for some of the customizations our Exile Tanoa server has: Zombies and demons (they spawn most places, except trader zones!) Most Wanted Bounty system (Set a bounty on an enemy player!) Advanced Towing, Slingloading, and Rappelling (realistic physics, very cool) All weapons and gear available (Including DLC and Apex gear) Modified loot spawns (more loot spawns in more places, but not too much) Custom missions and side objectives (Bandit heists, underwater raids, and more!) Extra vehicle spawns (More vehicles will spawn in more places, you won't have to walk far unless you want to) More custom scripts and mods to come! (We try to keep client-side mods to a minimum, but we're always looking for new stuff to add to make the game more enjoyable!) -- ArmA 3 Wasteland -- We've also got 2 A3Wasteland servers that are up and open to the public. One is running the Altis map, and the other is running Tanoa. No mods are required to join these, just load up ArmA 3 and join up! That said, we are always open to player feedback and we want to hear your suggestions on how we can make our servers and community better! We pride ourselves in being an open community that listens to our players. If you see something you don't like, tell us and we'll take care of it. Hope to see you in game! :)
  11. This looks quite interesting. I see it contains Ryan's Zombies and Demons mod, which is downright awesome. Even though there's a ton of zombie survival missions out already, this one looks like it was done well. Will have to try it sometime and see. Tough part is gonna be getting everyone to download and run it!

    Life Mod Framework [Open Source]

Good on you for releasing the source. I strongly believe all mission makers should release their source, it helps the community as a whole! :) Thanks!
  13. Sounds like a fun mission! I'm going to check this one out :) Thanks for sharing!
  14. Are you talking about in the editor? Just hold your mouse cursor over the object and hit the Delete key on your keyboard.
  15. awesome news man :D I loved your Evo mission for ArmA 2, can't wait to see your work on ArmA 3. I'll definitely be watching this thread :)
  16. I know this post is kinda old, but... Here is a PHP class that I use called GameQ: http://gameq.sourceforge.net/ I use the GameSpy3 protocol. It might need some editing though.
  17. okay thanks Sickboy :) Just copied the file to the client, restarted my server with verifySignatures=2 and connected. It works great now! :) thanks again!
  18. thank you Dwarden! :) Just to clarify, this file should be place on both client and server?
  19. My MD5 checksums on both my client and server match exactly what you have posted there. Any ideas on how I can resolve this? :-?
  20. yeah I was sure to run tolower. Also, my group has another ArmA 2 server that is running on Windows, which we updated today as well and now it is also having this same problem. We've been forced to disable verifySignatures on both our servers. I will look into DsCheckSignatures. Thanks for your help and suggestions :) Update: Ran DSCheckSignatures.exe on my client pc and it shows: Signature dta\languagecore.pbo.bi.bisign is wrong Here are the MD5 checksums for some of my files (both client and server match): bi.bikey f40916be05b3bfd8bdb860275ce922e3 bi2.bikey 5b5c9a1e7033150e8ffe7307ce385b25 languagecore.pbo ba1ea86fdf5c045411a32b1d9f71512a languagecore.pbo.bi.bisign ef5e82803dc0727969a6421d7b96ff74 languagecore.pbo.bi2.bisign fc3fa8f2d9762f257e67274eee84fb46
  21. I did as you said and checked the RPT and I don't see any obvious errors. Is there anything in particular I should be looking for? Here's the last bit of my RPT: http://pastebin.com/K7fwnGyi Yes both those .bikey files are on the server in the keys folder.
  22. My version of ArmA 2 is installed via steam, but the server update I downloaded from arma2.com
  23. I'm having the same issue. Just updated to 1.11 on my Linux ArmA 2 server. I have the same checksums for those files you mentioned. When I try to join the server I see this error in the logs: No player found for channel 170553448 - message ignored and also: 4:18:49 BattlEye Server: Player #0 Anzu (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:2304) connected 4:18:49 Player Anzu connected (id=xxxxxx). 4:18:51 Player Anzu: Wrong signature for file dta\languagecore.pbo 4:18:51 Player Anzu disconnected. even though the MD5 sum for this file matches that of the one on my server.
  24. I can confirm the new beserver.so is working now. Many thanks $able and awesome work on the new features =]
  25. Yes that is the same MD5 checksum I have for my beserver.so . We are not running beta on either of our servers. Yes I am running ArmA 2 servers (ArmA 2 free compatible, non OA). Thanks for responding so quickly $able =) Let me know if you need any more information.
