Custom Linux Server - Cannot Connect Over WAN
ozzbik replied to Mitchell Miller's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
have you checked in the firewall logs that a connection attempt hase been made from an external IP (server and modem/router)? Also, does the server register in Steam (is it available in the server browser)? -
When it's stuttering, does the hdd light indicate high usage?
-
Do you have multiple audio devices connected (like USB headphones, analog out etc)? Check if the default audio device is set to the desired output.
-
Does this also happen with bushes and/or shrubbery? What viewdistance has been set? I think that since the jet dlc something has changed about object distance where some objects are set as landmarks.
-
Could it be a dynamic view distance (mod or script). What is you terrain setting in the pic above (looks very low)?
-
is possible to update the game without internet?
ozzbik replied to singlot's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
If it's just your machine that has a limited connection to the internet; With steam it should be possible to copy the files from another location (like from another users pc). When updating it should use the newly downloaded files and won't download them again. -
Jets DLC - rendering distance limitations
ozzbik replied to arkhir's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
Too bad that this option (setFeatureType 2) can not be set by options in view settings menu (for moving objects). It's sad that planes just disappear in thin air, while the view distance is set much higher. -
Try removing your Arma profile settings (or rename the Arma3 folder in your My Documents).
-
I believe it is a problem with Steam, like the previous DLC. Most likely you will see the DLC added to your list soon.

Could you try a clean install of the AMD graphics driver as described in https://community.amd.com/thread/180667
-
Not saying that it is a hardware issue, but this error occurs with hardware failure as well. So in order for the developers to find the problem, it would be nice to know that you ruled out faulty memory sticks :)
-
Can anyone of you try running a memory test (like MemTestx86) too see if it's hardware related?
-

Can you try running arma3 directly instead of via the launcher (just to see if this makes any difference)? -

I'm sorry to bombard you with more questions, but : Which OS do you use? It's set to system managed for every drive (and does this drive have enough free space)? As i said before, windows chooses to use paging instead of physical memory. Seeing physical memory not being used is "normal" Do you have set the parameters for max memory or malloc, by any chance? Do you have a lot of large mods enabled? -
arma3 A3 No Servers are Showing when BattleEye is enabled
ozzbik replied to heizung124's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
Perhaps your Firewall or Antivirus blocks the traffic/program? LavasoftTcpService64.dll is probably part of your Antivirus? -
Michael538, Could your try the following: - Disable any overlay programs (steam/shadowplay/amd gaming evolved etc). - Reverse to an older version of your graphics driver. - Post your DXDIAG info.

what size is your pagefile set to? Windows memory management needs a large enough pagefile, even if you have more than enough physical memory -
A kick can be caused for multiple reasons: - Private server (administrator or players vote kick) - Ping is too high - BattleEye problems. Check your rpt files for possible reasons for your kick/disconnects).
-
What servers are you trying to connect to? Have these servers been updated as well, or aren't they?

Help, weird bug with gunfire sound cant fix
ozzbik replied to ron9630@gmail.com's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
Also verify that you have no audio normalization settings in your audio configuration. -
As a test; Try lowering your windows sound settings to 44100hz 16bit or number of voices within the game. Did you update the soundcard/chipset drivers recently?
-
You can check through the Arma3 launcher what the ping is to a server. Anything above 60 could be a problem.
-
What is the make and model of your modem? Maybe it's located under Denial of Service?
-
Not for a client, Only if you would be hosting. Just check if there's a setting IP Flood detection and try your connection after changing that setting to off.
-
Did you turn off the firewall on the router as well? IP Flood Detection has been a problem for Arma connections before. Just as a test btw, (Firewall should be used)
