    Tanks DLC Feedback

Ctrl+R turns radar on/off on all vehicles that have radar. So the Nyx (Recon), some AA vehicles, some planes and some helicopters (I may have forgotten something). Radar works as it should (limited by gameplay reasons, engine). You can detect both air and ground targets with radar dependant on the radar range and the target size/ stealth. Detected targets can be sent to other friendly units via datalink so they don't have to use their own radar if they even have one. So for example the Nyx Recon can provide targets for the Nyx AA that doesn't have a radar and is otherwise only able to detect targets with it's IR sensor that is pretty limited in range. This combination is more effective than just the AA variant sitting somewhere. Having your radar active leads also to you being locatable by passive radar sensors of jets and helicopters. Aircraft with anti-radiation sensors can even target the radar source what is not a at the moment though because there are no anti-radiation weapons in game. There are mods for this though.

    SEAD missiles by VTI

    Thanks for feedback!

Well I guess it's an American rifle. They aren't that much into the metric system...

Are you using the 32 bit .exe? I had the same issue. First it happened just when tabbing out of the game after a while it happened occasionally while simply playing. Nothing helped until I reinstalled the game completely and used the 64 bit .exe from that point.
  5. Thanks, I forgot to say I'm using stable branch.
  6. The proximity fuse of AA missiles seems to not work. I had missiles pass right next to a plane without exploding. It is basically impossible to shoot down aircraft with missiles right now.
  7. That sounds weird. They must have had a lock before.
  8. Only bombs use LOAL altitude at the moment. Scalpel uses just top attack.

    AI Discussion (dev branch)

@oukej Also right now (on stable) the AI seems not to be able to perform CAS strikes when using the CAS support modules. The aircraft does deliver the package but it gets awfully close. It is very slow and dives to the target, then dropping the LGB. Shouldn't they be able to deliver the bomb to the target coordinates using their CCIP from a height of like 2000m or so? That would increase their survivability and also look a lot better. (tested with Black Wasp and Wipeout)

I experienced with the scalpel missile that when the lock gets broken by smoke the missile switches back to manual guidance. So if the gunner still points the turret onto the target the missile will still hit. Should be the same with all manual guided missiles.

Jets - Sensor overhaul (Radars, IRs, Lazors, PGMs)

Or what about adding a second laser designator to the pilot camera of the gunships. So the pilot can actively help his gunner and provide some targets to him and others.

It would be really easy since there are anti-radiation sensors already in game. I made a small addon that utilizes those and works perfectly fine.

Yeah, that's the new generation of super smart bombs introduced in 2035. I once passed a target about 80 metres overhead and dropped the bomb about 100m behind the target and it still hit... I also locked the bomb onto the target without a laser spot by simply locking the gun onto the target and then switch to the bombs...

You could use that concrete bunker object. Place the AAA/SAM turret on top and it looks quite good.

    Bombs

It is Lock On After Launch now. It locks onto the closest to its path laser spot when geting close to it. You can no longer lock onto those targets manually.

    Tanks - Armored vehicles customization

Well, you may also notice that the Slammer's 120 mm cannon fits inside the inner diameter of the Kuma's 120 mm cannon. So don't be too exact about that... XD
  17. Thank you for suggestions I painted the frontal turret armor which was about facing the direction of the incoming jet. I will try the ground below the target. It looks almost as if the laser would go straight through the target and mark the ground behind it. I'm designating from about 90 degrees off the incoming vector but the side facing the incoming. I'll do some more testing.
  18. It may be just personal incompetence but for me the GBU-12 seems to miss a laser designated target by a few meters (like less than e meter sometimes) a lot. I tested designating a Sochor artillery with the darter. The artillery piece was also not destroyed since there was no direct hit. The CSAT LGB (I always forget the name) on the Scorcher works fine though.

SMA - Specialist Military Arms has some pretty nice HK416s.
  20. There is a triple and a quad station for the Scalpel ATGM in game. Probably at least the triple ejector could serve your purpose. I configured it once to carry 3 Mk82s and it looked okay. Also there is a triple ejector for the Macer/Maverick missile in game. You could also take a look at that although I find it to have too much spacing between the individual weapons. Also the models of the cluster bombs could be worth a look.

    T-140 sensors and datalink

Targets detected by one vehicle can be seen by other vehicles on their own sensor display. If weapons/ammo is equipped with data link sensor too the weapon can be locked onto the target without the weapon carrying vehicle even detecting the target.

    Tanks - Fire-control system

While doing that please consider adding laser designators to other vehicles. Especially to helicopters like the Wildcat and the Blackfoot.

    Tanks - Armored vehicles customization

Would be awesome if you could also change the turrets. For example put a 30mm cannon on top of a Panther IFV.

    Max Melee Weapons

Would love that and also bottles and other stuff to be thrown. Maybe even a broken glass bottle as melee weapon.

Jets - Sensor overhaul (Radars, IRs, Lazors, PGMs)

I could. But I'm not into 3d modelling at all. So all I could do would be add a powerful radar to the VTOL for the AWACS. I need to do some testing though about the possible range. When it comes to ground based radars there is again the problem with the 3d models. I once tried to create some just with the ingame radar dome models but when configuring them as vehicles to get the sensor system working there are multiple problems. 1. They are not able to be placed on the map in a proper way. I mean that you can not place them into the ground what leads to the problem that they are placed to high what looks really weird. Making them simple objects or disable their simulation doesn't help because it does though prevent them from exploding but it also disables their sensor abilities. 2. Their mass seems to be to low to be configured as vehicles. So when hit by a missile it is very likely that they fall over from the impact what looks awful. One possibility to solve all of these issues was pretty simple though. You have to attach the radar dome to a static object like e.g. the 1x1m VR cube. I'm not sure what that does with the collision physics of the object though. I could release that at its current state though if that helps.
