Kommiekat 11 Posted August 2, 2010 Hi. I'm having problems with the TIER addon. I'm using Arma2 Launcher to load the game with OA as the main exe. Keep getting deleted.ftmchtier.1 during the loading and cannot continue. I've named the folder "McFtmchTier1.2" Tried "ftmch_tier_one" and I even gave up on that and threw them directly into the Addons folder of the main directory. No luck. Can you help me out in any way? Devil Dogs SF 13 Posted August 2, 2010 That's odd, I have my tier addon in a folder named @US_Forces with a load of other addons and the mission worked correctly. I'll check it out and see if there is a problem with the mission but I checked before release of the latest version and it worked fine. Try asking in the Tier One addon thread while I check to see if it is in fact the mission. no didnt have to its spot on now like playing this mission how did you get the rangers tied up or how they are when you find them need to find out more on this mission making. you guys are good at this well done Sent a PM Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
sailindawg 0 Posted August 2, 2010 (edited) @Kommiekat I'm running Combined Operations and created a folder, Addon, under the Operation Arrowhead directory and put the tier mod files into the Addon folder. The mission sees the mod files to run correctly in this manner without using the target line convention. @Devil Dogs I just downloaded and tried Warm Welcome. Very good so far. I cleared the first post after the heli insertion. I was checking out the weapons crate, but could not find the rifle with the thermal sight. Is there a rifle with the thermal sight for this mission? If I need to find it elsewhere, I'll keep looking for it. I was curious if there is a thermal sight for use. Thanks. NoRailgunner 0 Posted August 2, 2010 Good mission but this black/white thermal sight issue is still there. Perhaps change the time of mission a bit more and delete the weapons with TWS in gear selection? Would be imho good if Tier One would be primarily equipped with local/Takistani weapons. ;) Why you dont change IED explosion into Oil rig destruction? Devil Dogs SF 13 Posted August 2, 2010 Thanks :) @Kommiekat I'm afraid I couldn't find what could be messing the mission up for you, try redownloading the addon to see if it was corrupt, it's happened to myself on occasion. @Salindawg The Thermal site can be found on the marksman and in the briefing, just go to units and then to gear to see the weapons available. @NoRailGunner It does seem a little dark, doesn't it? I'll change the date further into the year to see if that solves the problem, hopefully BIS will fix that issue with it not working during winter nights. I left a message at McNools thread for an earlier version of his addon. Hope this will help. I am only guessing, but maybe the update to 2.1 version could be my problem. Here is someone's comment at Armaholic for the Tier addon. Seems I'm not the only one with this problem: "Alright. I'm a little late on commenting on this but it's due to trying to figure out WHY it's happening. But every since you updated the operators to 2.1, I haven't been able to get them to work! They don't even show up as a possible mod in the expansions. I even tried with the addon in my target line but they still do not show up. Any ideas why that could be or anyone else with the same problem? (Sure there has to be atleast one other with the same problem D:) Older version 2.0 works but I don't get why 2.1 doesn't show up? New version will, and I have checked multiple times, fully fix the thermal scope not working correctly. It'll also feature a new objective in a certain area which adds greatly to the immersion, idea was the one given by NoRailGunner and it is working great, just have to randomize it now. I finished them all (I had six of them) by blowin' up the village at the wreck location, before knowing that the pilot and the crew had been taken to another location... How can I do? Devil Dogs SF 13 Posted August 5, 2010 If you're meaning your satchels, check you and your teams backpacks, several have at least one charge inside. If not that, try typing addmagazine "pipebomb" or this addmagazine "pipebomb", those are the commands for adding satchels in the editor so I assume it may work entering it in the console. If this addmagazine doesn't work, try delta1 addmagazine "pipebomb" as delta1 is the name of the team leader in the editor. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The UN outpost looks a bit open, not very well guarded. I can lower the time to make the player move, but the whole point is getting the hostages out alive, everything else is considered secondary. If such a scenario was real I'm sure the Rescue team would put the safety of the hostages above all else. I agree with intro/outro, keep in mind if I do they will be my first and not on par with others by more experienced missions creators such as Sick1 or Zipper5. Dialogue between characters (I've been wanting to give the characters more personality) or music, however, can certainly be added. Just a few ideas - if enemy contacts were made activate an radio report from player to HQ - implement a "reveal" option for IEDs and give the player the choice to destroy them - place some stuff/informations that can be collected for further investigation - add one or two small camps as secondary task to "find more informations"/"find and arrest someone" or "destroy AA thread". First post has more information. Enjoy :D OPERATION IRON PRISON The ChDKZ have spread across Europe bit by bit since the start of the conflict between the CDF and the ChDKZ in Chernarus. There has not yet been a terrorist attack from the group outside of Chernarus and Russia until now...Several hours ago a Power Plant in central Poland was attacked by the insurgents who killed countless civilians and armed guard personel. Polish police units are unable to deal with the situation so the Army was called in to take control of the area and eliminate the murderous ChDKZ threat from the area before they spread and take over like in Chernarus...
