Devil Dogs SF Single Player Missions

Yes, it is compatable with ACE. It is also compatible with all versions of Arma 2 (A2, OA, CO)

It is modular so you can remove things you don't want added and such (For this mission mainly only the various effects are what stand out the most)

In 'Warm Welcome' one of my favourite missions so far, (I'm playing through again with 1.6)

Really like the intro, and as I've said previously the stealth element is handled very well.

but...

Just found the pilot at the Oil field, being very stealthy etc. suddenly the bomb goes off and it's mission failed. I just spent 2 hours going through, no saves and boom, like that all for nothing..... I think an auto save once you reach the UN OP is necessary and to not have the mission finish if the bomb goes off. I mean what about the Rangers surely I should proceed with the rest of the mission to rescue them? Also a little hint as to what I should be looking for as regards the detonator... :confused:

Edit: Oh and one thing, that you have spelt Michaels wrong in the conversation (Micheals) on the flight in by Littlebird. I keep forgetting to mention that.

Thank you, I will update that and perhaps make it so that the mission ends only if both the pilot and the Rangers are KIA. Does anyone disagree with this?

Look for groups of enemies around campfires at the oil field. It will be a Sattelite Phone (which looks more like a radio in a box) on a table.

Expect new version up today sometime.

Devil Dogs, I completed A Warm Welcome now.

Wow!! This was a great experience!! Very good! Thanks for your work, man!

Only the disabling of the bombs caused me trouble... Didn't understand what to look for and where.

But the rest was perfect SF stealth fighting with planning strategy and tactics. GREAT!

And those Tier 1 units are perfect to play with!

New mission 'Sights of Baghdad' released:

Iraq, 2003: Coalition forces strike Baghdad, the Iraqi Republican Guard and their Jihad insurgent allies dig in and prepare for the assault. USMC Force Recon teams and infantry convoys attack from the West, Sierra 1, a Scout Sniper team, join the assault and are tasked with eliminating two Republican Guard officers and a Jihad insurgent warlord to throw any organization of the defenders into disarray...

I don't know why but I get a very bad graphical bug (Everything in front of me turns black) in "not over yet", It happens as soon as I enter the town to the West.

I have had that happen to me on a few occasions in several missions. It's a game problem (I think, hope so) and goes away after awhile.

Is very weird because it only happens when i enter that town, I need to test this in the editor.

When I try and play Not over yet I keep getting an error message and then return to the scenario screen after the reporter scene. :/

EDIT: I have found the thing causing the graphical issue, it is a problem with one of the IED objects and has been removed for the next version. Why it didn't happen in initial testing I don't know, this is one of the few times it has happened...Either way, it has been removed and replaced with a different IED object. Thanks for reporting Jonn.

Not Over Yet [v1.6] released, it has been morealess overhauled in nearly every way:

Sights Of baghdad has the potential to be an awesome mission, It feels like you are really in Iraq, I just hope they fix the GK unit bugs & Baghdad Map bugs.

Thanks Jonn, yeah it is a shame that GK Marines and Baghdad have several issues, thankfully none appear to be game breaking (At least the units added to Sights of Baghdad). Hopefully the GK units get updated some time.

Will release a quick 'Not Over Yet' update with 'Operation Iron Prison' tonight to attempt to raise FPS.
