***OA Compatible Mod List***

Hi all,

this seems like a good idea to me but if not, happy to scrap it. If a mod is compatible with OA, stick it here and we can try and maintain a complete list in the first post. I've had trouble running some mods but have yet to figure out which is causing the issue.

This list should help identify which of your favourites from A2 can go straight into OA.

I suppose the prereq for making the list is that the mod has been tested in OA and shows no serious issues.

NOT every mod works with Operation arrowhead so making a post like that is ridiculous mate.

Generally ones that rely on ArmA 2 class names or UI changes when the targetted UI is different now will by my guessing not work

HEXagon units and aircraft work fine for me.

Shapsdrocel(spelling) mercenaries work, but there was a CTD shortly after placing them. Don't know if it's related.

Thanks for the input. Keep em' coming.

If any moderators think this post is in the wrong section, I promise I wont throw a hissy fit if it needs to be moved.

Seems most think this could be a worthwhile exercise so I will continue to update :)

EDIT: Actually this probably is in the wrong section. Maybe move it to troubleshooting? Sorry bout' that.

CSM2 works although it will only change the sounds from original Arma2 weapons, hopefully this will be updated soon (for that error message saying csm2 need ace MG whatever, is not important, the message can be disabled, just follow the instructions

I think it'd be more practical to make a list of addons/mods that are not compatable with OA. I think that list would be shorter, besides you can't account for everything here.

Chill it man and as said not all mods with OA and some dont work very well to like ACE at the moment any way :)

I was thinking similar Big Dawg. But my rationale was that it would be better to focus on positive things ie mods that we know do work. Mod makers may get upset if we publish the fact that someone thinks their mod doesnt work when in reality it could easily be a local issue. For example, i've just tried Mando Missiles and for me it didnt work, but it could just be me and my setup. Same could be said for mods that DO work though.

Hmmmm, still not sure the best way to go.

Lies.. Any problems with an Addon should be resolved in its respected "ArmA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE" threads. Since who has time to search in a thread looking for a certain addon to see why its not working or working, when they can just look in the addons release thread for answers to any problems the addon itself is having in game. Or what ever they need to know in either getting an updated version or how to get it working. Which makes this thread pointless Thats my opinion. I would like to see this thread closed. Its kinda of pointless. No offense to the author.

the "pale gui" Addon don´t works (grey displayed hud) correct, the line for ammo etc is in the middle, not at the top of display.

I think the better solution is what NXZShadows write.

No.. don't remove it mate.. this thread has saved me a vast amount of time trawling through alot of other posts already.. Thanks for starting it..

What about when the addonmaker makes there addon compatible with OA? Does a user read about addons not compatible with OA here or read about the updated/fixed/notupdated version of the addon in the thread for the released addon? Just saying this might be misleading for addons.

It would be better to point out ArmA II mods (+ versions!) that don't work with Operation Arrowhead, no the other way around.

I can say that all GLT made addons work with OPA.

Get upset? If they get upset then they aren't doing their job. If my mod didn't work with OA I'd want to know, so I could help make it compatable. In fact, I'd get more upset of my addon did work and it never got on this list, and thus people didn't use it...

Besides, making a list of addons that do work isn't really beneficial. I mean if someone wants to know if a particular addon works, all they have to do is try it. If it doesn't work, they can come here and say it doesn't, then the creators will know so they will be able to address it.

We can leave this thread up for a month or so, and update as necessary. After that, I'd expect most addon makers to have figured out how to declare OA compatibility and we can close it.
