Villain. 11 Posted April 27, 2010 Great work fellas! Had a blast playing with these on ANZAC day. :D Excellent quality too, they now feature in a couple of my desktop pics (amongst other Aussie vehicle mods). Also, really love the ability to change appearance, you guys have done an awesome job here. Keep up the good work, you're doin' Australia proud. :)
Snyder 10 Posted April 28, 2010 Amazing units, such beautiful work. :) Is there any way that there can be a F2 group added in an update in the future?
[xdf]kanga 0 Posted May 13, 2010 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NB3HY34V AWW infantry version 0.2 This update to the AAW infantry pack addresses a number of issues with the units: 1. The scripts have been rewritten to significantly reduce in game network traffic - now there is only approximately 72 bytes sent across the network when you change appearance. 2. By using publicEventhandlers the JIP down load required for any appearance changes that have already occurred in mission has also been drastically reduced. 3. AI units are now randomly assigned BLUFOR faces and speak English

cross 1 Posted May 13, 2010 I was hosting the WeaponPack-ACE version in KH Community YAS Repo. I have 2 questions; 1-Are these units ACE compatible. If not are you planning to release it? 2-Is regular weaponspack a must or can they be used with ace version too? cheers. Cross

norrin 9 Posted May 13, 2010 (edited) @ Cross - hi mate :) Yes as far as I can tell they are fully ACE compatible - we routinely use ACE in testing - the only difference being is that if ACE is used the Windows or the ACE Personal Interaction key ie. Application key (next to the right hand control key) is used to access the change appearance and strobe on/off menus rather than an action appearing in the action list. They also work with the ACE version of the weapons pack. @ Manzilla - try this: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=9355 And thank you for the mirrors guys. Smurf 12 Posted June 2, 2010 Anyone facing this problem: When Im not using an aussie unit, nobody wear a helmet. Thought it was BW mod, but no.... Some script related to the player to init the helmets?
norrin 9 Posted June 2, 2010 (edited) @Smurfbar - I'll double check when I get home but my test mission, which I used when I was writing/testing the scripts, contained an AI vanilla marine unit and this did not affect the helmet function. What I need to check now is what happens if your playable avatar is a vanilla unit - as maybe you're right and the helmet scripts only run if you are an AAW unit (don't have the scripts at work so I can't say just now). EDIT: Yep I can confirm that the helmets don't appear if you play as a non-AAW unit. I'll add some code in the next update that will fix this problem, thanks for reporting it Smurfbar. norrin 9 Posted July 5, 2010 Hi ric, We're in the process of changing the structure of the addons so that any future updates can be made using Yoma, for example, so that they only require a small download rather than the full pack each time. We also need to make the units compatible with some of the new functions in OA and this is going to take a little bit of time as there's quite a bit we are currently working on. Unless soldierX wants to release a quick fix in the mean time you're going to have to wait until these changes have been made before we release a new version that contains the fixed scripts. norrin

road runner 4344 Posted July 12, 2010 Is this just a multiplayer mod, or can these units be used in the SP mission editor? I have followed the instructions for mod folders but not seeing any Aussies in the BLUFOR range for the editor...
sabre 244 Posted July 12, 2010 They are for both. If the addon is working correctly it should be under; BLUFOR > Australians At War >
road runner 4344 Posted July 12, 2010 lol I'm guessing I don't have it working correctly might have renamed a folder differently ;) cheers Sabre
