Aircraft Cockpits

Well i took a break from my normal mods to do something about the cockpits. I started on the UH60 first havnt done anything increased the res of the cockpit texture and added some basic non-realistic panels and dials. Again its not realisitc panels but i think it looks good. Anyway what i need is very good ref pics of the panels inside the aircraft ive searched most of the goooogles site but turned up not good results what im reall after is names of panels and detail i can remake the panels themselfs the make them realistic but i need refs to know where they all go.

The bit thats changed is panels in the middle i havnt worked on the rest of the cockpit yet.

I saw someone do High-Res center panel for the blackhawk in ArmA1 but then the files got deleted and he dissapeared.. :(

Well its going quite good i found some good refs so yea expect another release from me in terms of high res cockpits for most of the vehicles anyway. :) I could really do with good refs for the aircraft in a2 so keep em coming if you find them the cockpit panels im very intrested in much if they show the actual names of the dials and switches!

Do you have FSX? Try looking at some of their aircraft. Often, those cockpits are extremely well detailed, even the free community made aircraft.

Well ive been doing bit of work here and there but so far ive done some work on the AH64D cockpit its still WIP but its started to take shape.

That's a good point, obviously you will (and should) do whatever interests you but I would point out several already released aircraft that feature good quality models and skins but are a little sub-par in the cockpit department. I'm thinking here of the CMA Mi-28, CMA Ka-50, ACE AH-6/MH-6 Littlebirds and Southy's recent port of the F-4E Phantom. Just a thought.

Do you plan on doing the gunner cockpit as well for the apache? That is if you can find the appropriate panel info/textures and such?

Yeh the gunner cockpit will also be done.

I hope to do as many as possible, its rather time consuming tho.

The real problem with all russian reference files: they are hard to find. the CMA Mi28 would need a properly modeled cockpit as well, before applying a texture

Ever thought of doing a correct skin for the AV-8B Harrier II? It's always been a thorn in my side looking at BI's Harrier in ArmA 2 due to the fact that the skin is wrong (incorrect markings on top and bottom of wings). Should look like this.

Some Marine Harrier Squadrons don't have the "MARINES" marking on the top right of wing. If you can't, I understand. I may try to figure out the .paa skin and see if I can do it myself, if it's not too hard.

I always wondered, why is that the textures inside all the helos and jets so blurred and low res/detail even the main things like the dials and joystick have no texture detail in them?

Can anyone answer, im just curious, nice work OS.
