yeh you need to have the swm armory mod installed. Thats the problem :) It seems like you may have deleted part of the .pbo that is required for the mod to run.

I have that mod installed :)

I have tried loading it from it's on mod folder @swm and also by copying the .pbo's into the @DanishArmy mod folder with same result!

Concerning the M84 tone, I don't think it's too grey (which would be fixed by higher saturation), but rather it's imho a bit too blue, i.e. a too cold tone of green. So try to apply a yellow filter, that might do it.

In googled pictures, the camo might look different depending on lighting or campera settings (the light in the left is a bit colder, whereas the right one is taken in warm/yellow sunlight). But usually it fits well into soilent green grass/bushes. So I'd suggest to try to fit it to in-game grass/bushes. At the moment it sticks out a bit.

Within the pattern, the contrast could be a bit higher, too. As you see in the picures, both green parts are relatively light, the black parts are pretty dark (dark-black, duh^^).

It's funny, i'm working on two different machines at the moment. On one the camo looks great, on the other it looks grey and washed out. What i'll do is play with the tone and saturation tonight and fix it. But it's up to you guys. Would you rather me push out another infantry release just tweaking the M84 or wait for me to reconfig them and do the M113s etc and release a more complete "mini mod". It seems crazy for me to put another file out there 24 hours after the 1st release when if you give me a little time I can put something more substantial about. Anyway what do you think? I'll leave it up to the danes.

@ JWCustom. It could be a conflict with another mod (although not sure what). Just for curiosities sake what happens if you just put the danetmp.pbo and the various swm pbos in your addons folder (i.e. don't use the mod folder method at all)? I'm not recommending this as a full time solution i just want to see if you get the same results.

I have tried only loading the swiss army mod and your mod with same result. I'll try put the danetmp.pbo and the swiss army .pbo's into the ArmA 2's own addons folder just for testing purpose :)

Oh don't worry about throwing another release out straight away :)

About the two different machines-look, I think there's still the issue with machines running ATI cards have different colors then nVidia machines (in ArmA).

Rather wait for a bit and then have the updated configs and possible the M113's :)

Here is a M/84 pattern on the M113

Note that the vehicle has 6 wheels - that is the Danish "long" version of the M113.

The camouflage pattern is the same on the 5 wheel though.

Although there's no turret on these, all the M113's in action, have a turret on. Though not the standard M113 turret - It looks pretty much the same.

Okay i tried copying the following files into my ArmA 2 AddOns folder:

swm_misc.pbo

swm_swissarms.pbo

a2020_danetmp.pbo

Started ArmA 2 with no mods loaded, loaded emty utes into editor added a danish army rifleman, saved and tried mission and got the same error.

I then tried adding a standard USMC rifleman and gave him a sniper rifle(swiss armory), then placed a ammobox(swiss armory). As soon as i take ammo for the sniper rifle from the ammobox i get that same message, i do get the ammo and it works fine :confused:

Have you tried re-downloading the addons?

Could sound like your files are corrupt

Yes i tried from armaholic and filefactory, i will try again :)

*EDIT*

I just tried the official download link and then tried giving a standard USMC unit a weapon from the Swiss Armory mod, as soon as i take ammo for the weapon i get that same error message. So it has nothing to do with this mod.

Are you guys using patch 1.05?

Yeah, color-calibrating a monitor is not a trivial task. But just compare to the in-game foilage, which is influenced by the monitor settings in the same way as your skin. If it fits to your in-game bushes, then it will fit to the in-game stuff on other peoples computers just as well, even if their monitor is quite different.

Same applies to the desert camo, don't compare the tone to any photos, but to in-game desert, like Razani.

And don't think you are the only one having problems to hit the right tone. The German Bundeswehr had to overhaul their Flecktarn as well^^ - today it looks different (a bit more orange) compared to the first stuff given out in 1993 for the Somalia mission.

I'm not using 1.05 atm...i'll look into it tonight when i get back from work and see because i'll be honest I have no idea what is causing the problem. If necessary I can stop the medic class using a backpack all together and that should help. Sorry for the inconvinience.

As far as the camo goes. It's an easy fix for me. I just need to learn not to use my work laptop and use my home desktop as I have a much clearer set up on that. I'll also do the SF guys when i get a chance, that shouldn't take too long. The vehicles will also be in the next patch.

Thanks for taking your time on this but i'm sure the problem is either my end or the Swiss Armory mod so i'll ask in that thread :)

@ JWcustom...just an interesting note mate, stupid me! I just dropped into game now i'm home and the M84 medic isn't using a backpack at all...i have no idea what is causing your medic to have a backpack.

Awesome stuff, and JWCustom the rucksacks are in ACE2. Unfortunately there's no way of changing it, unless we had an M/84 Pattern one in ACE2.

No way? What if you try to write a replacement config that overloads an ACE texture with a new one and creates a new backpack?

Rifleman 3 - M-16A4, AT-4, Medic (Not suitable for ArmA because of Medic gear limitations)

ACE2, Gives more slots to the medics gear..

so i cant see any reason way it shouldn't work :)

:butbut:but i don't know if that is a good idea to make in the release packages.. because, i know for sure that it ain't everyone who has ACE2 installed....

Although, in ACE2 the SF rucks (VTAC RUSH, FAST Pack EDC, and the Arc Teryx Charlie Pack) would look decent on them.
