zoog 18 Posted December 25, 2009 I think I got it working now by uploading everything manually instead of using the built in feature. Don't know what was going wrong actually. We will be testing it with some other users, for now it seems to work correctly! Thanks for the help :)
Yoma 0 Posted December 26, 2009 Check the roadmap for changes. (Basically "Quickfilter" and reworked extra files deletion interface)
Gera_CCT 12 Posted December 27, 2009 Why the file is .msi? No installer?
DRACUS 18 Posted December 27, 2009 have the same problem. I can't install.
Binkowski 26 Posted December 27, 2009 Yeah, when I went to the dev-heaven page and downloaded the .msi file it downloaded and saved as a .html. Strange.
terox 316 Posted December 27, 2009 (edited) Hi Yoma. I'd just like to show my appreciation for the effort you have put into this tool. We have recently started using it and Oh Boy does it make adminning and hosting a Mod/Addon server so much easier and the client side setup also hits the sweet spot of usability This type of tool belongs in the B.I engine itself and is way overdue. I would recommend every Server admin who runs anything other than BIS Vanilla to utilise this and make it a community standard. Thanks..... Yoma 0 Posted December 27, 2009 Maybe it's kind of becoming a victim of it's popularity. The latest version was released yesterday around 12:00 and has had 2500+ downloads since. I would just try downloading it again at a later time. If you have other installation issues (other then i can't download the file), give me a sign. cross 1 Posted December 27, 2009 it downloads OK from the dev-heaven. Using the ingame update link downloaded the file with .msi.html extension. Installed fine when removed the extra .html
Gera_CCT 12 Posted December 27, 2009 Still can´t open the file, tried to rename it and the only program that opens it is winrar that shows lots of files

cross 1 Posted December 27, 2009 The update button :P
Yoma 0 Posted December 27, 2009 All the update button does is open the browser that windows considers the default browser and browse to the link. So this may boil down to browser security settings, or some strange behaviour of some browsers (like Chrome that has no FTP implemented). The Chrome remark is not really relevent as the files reside on HTTP. If I ever get the time I might look into downloading the file "manually", that would also open up some better upgrade options (like exit the tool on download completion)

To test your browser you could simply make a batchscript that only has the url to the file and run it. That's basicly what the tool does via process.start
TOTAL22 0 Posted December 29, 2009 Hi, I appreciate your work Yoma. Great work I need a little help on setting up a Addon Sync 2009 server for my server. Are there any plans to make a manual on how to set up a addon sync server anytime soon? It would be very handy. Thanks in advance.

Yoma 0 Posted January 13, 2010 Version 1.0.47 is out. -TS3 support (don't forget to set TS version on server details, it will default to TS2) -minor bugfixes -You can now query for server signature files (handy to find a server that has YOUR version of ACE for example, or to find a server where you can run your prefered soundmod)

nuggetz 0 Posted January 14, 2010 Why are downloads via this tool so slow? I was using Six updater and that seemed to fly compared to this. I was definitely off the ground running quicker with Yoma but since Six is faster I may stick with that.
Yoma 0 Posted January 14, 2010 Entirely dependend of server where you download. Also first time download calcs cache records for all folders that are in the repo.
boneboys 0 Posted January 14, 2010 Excellent tool, thanks. I've just been over-writing the program with each release and as far as I can tell it works fine.
wolffy.au 9 Posted January 17, 2010 Firstly, excellent work Yoma! Not sure if anyone else has asked this already - any chance you can change the Upload / Build Repository to support multiple processes? Nothing worse than sitting there waiting for it to compress stuff and have 7 cores sitting around doing nothing! :)
