TRexian 0 Posted November 23, 2009 w/ all this stuff and JTD's Traffic module, a living, breathing Chernarus may be created... Hmmmm... actually, it may not be a bad idea to make it dependent on this rather than the BI module. :) Will have to mull that one over....
mcpxxl 2 Posted November 23, 2009 For simple Civilian live you can also use Civilian as a part of DAC Groups. If you only use "BUS/Taxi" in your vehicle group, you can easy make a Bus Transfer :-). Did it in one of my MP_Missions (OFP) And YES should be renamed to 3.0 Silola
silola 1087 Posted November 23, 2009 (edited) Hi and sorry for my bad english :o I'm alone, alone in the middle of a big island. But wait, I hear something ... I hear some vehicles and maybe one or two tanks in the distance. I hear also some voices ... enemy voices. Shit! I have no idea how I can reach the beach without having enemy contact. If I hit the water the mission is over, but how can I get there? I hear the sound of one heavy tank getting closer ... very close now. I see him. He has stoped. Now, his engine is off. He is looking at my direction. I don't know if he has seen me, or he has simply reached his waypoint. I don't move. 30 seconds later, the tank starts his engines again, and is moving away from my position. That was close ... very close. After the sound of the tank has died down, I hear voices from the forest. OMG, an enemy squad right behind me ... I see 3 men. No time to wait. My rifle trembles, but I can give some good shots. Did I do the party? I do not know, but I hope that the group could not request reinforcements. Then my position is not secure. I have to move ... just get out of here. That damned DAC. I hate this thing. He has placed me in this difficult situation. Ok, if I pess the "ESC" key the tension is suddenly gone and I can breathe normally again, but ... no, that would be unfair to the enemy units. They are quite fresh generated ;) If I set the DAC_Marker off, I see and know nothing about enemys. No position, no route of them, no type of unit and also I don't know about skills and size of the groups. I only hear them. This situation was created within 3 minutes: 2 minute for setup the zone an make minor changes in the config files 1 minute for generating the whole groups The performance was at an average of 28 frames with 3000 viewdistance, but not on Chernarus as u can see. My ingame options are all set to very high. dmarkwick 261 Posted November 23, 2009 Thanks for the A1 script example Silola, I'll try & crowbar that into a test later on :) Your little descriptive sounds rather familiar ;) I'm always more entertained by a DAC enhanced mission than any other kind of mission. My favourite thing is wondering if there's been a radio broadcast for help, then seeing a helo fly over and drop about 20 enemy units on the other side of the forest to me, and then waiting for them to filter through :) very tense gaming sometimes. I also like the way that DAC doesn't "cheat", for example when I've been spotted I still have a chance of moving away and hiding somewhere, providing I'm not seen on the way, which I've often tested with the map markers enabled. Man those were the good old days! haha. I cant remember a mission when i didn't use DAC, i was bare without it and couldn't live without it lol.

silola 1087 Posted November 23, 2009 Hi :) The map is called "EVERON"... a long time ago there were fierce battles. There were many dead soldiers. It was a very terrible time. I do not like to think back to that time. The well-known cities Montignac, Le Moule and Lamentin, were completely destroyed. I'm glad I was able to escape alive that horrendous battles :D Greeting from Everon Silola

silola 1087 Posted November 30, 2009 Hi, I have now added the additional function, that zones can also be deleted "on the fly" (this was a wish by my special friend) ;) The next step is to make soooooome short mission examples to show most of the functions, and complete the readme. That's also much of work :-/ Greeting Silola

JB1528 10 Posted December 1, 2009 One thing i sure liked in DAC 2 was the full documentation that came with it Yeah I liked that too, I was completely clueless when it came to scripting at the time but thanks to the extensive documentation and tutorial missions DAC 2 was very easy to learn.
