ProfTournesol 956 Posted October 16, 2010 Just watched ep.3 season 2, it was rather entertaining. Hope it'll go on like this.
kavoven 4 Posted October 16, 2010 I expect the producers will never admit this, but I'd bet they rewrote their whole concept of season two after all those complaints during the first season.
Jelliz 10 Posted October 16, 2010 I expect the producers will never admit this, but I'd bet they rewrote their whole concept of season two after all those complaints during the first season. They dont have to admit it, it is too obvious. Anywho, they need to kill Chloe. I hate her character. And new dialogue writers, the dialogue is really bad at some points. One comes to mind: In the season 1 finale, Lt. Tamara looks at Varro, who we all can see very well is shot up really bad, and says "He's badly wounded". I facepalmed from the stupidity of adding that line at that time, coming from someone who is supposed to be a medic, not Captain Obvious.
SD_BOB 10 Posted October 17, 2010 Well we know that Cloe is going to play a big part at some point in the close future. Maybe they'll have to kill her after she transforms...
kavoven 4 Posted October 17, 2010 Dont think so. She appeared in plenty of scenes in the season two trailer.
Pauldarrington 9 Posted October 20, 2010 I really really hope telford makes a grand appearence in a later episode i know its kinda obviouse they left it open for a return but his one of my favourite charactors at the moment
kavoven 4 Posted October 20, 2010 (edited) He will! It was confirmed by one of the producers a week ago or something :) They even told the name of the episode but I cant remember... Btw - new episode ;) Edited October 20, 2010 by kavoven
SD_BOB 10 Posted October 20, 2010 Good episode, again slow paced compared to the rest this season. But its nice to have an episode which sets up the next few. As predicted Cloe is gonna play a bigger part.

The music may be nice but i don't want to watch Grey's Anatomy instead of Stargate :D

Dwarden 1125 Posted October 27, 2010 it was weak ... staring on long shots of nothing , staring at wall, staring at something ... nearly as bad as SG: ComStones serie 1 :)
SD_BOB 10 Posted October 28, 2010 Yeah, i dunno about anyone else but... Firstly where do they keep getting this equipment from?? We all saw them run through the gate at the start with a "few" bags. Now they have hesco bastion flat packs aswell. Those things even in the packed form are still huge. Also flame throwers.... Secondly after rush says about the "plant" tracking vibrations, i was watching the entire episode just imagining o'neall and tilk leading it through the woods by a series of c4 charges. P90 fire decapitating heads as they go...

The producers said that they thought about ammo problems, but didn't want to include them.
Maio 293 Posted October 28, 2010 I'm with you guys on this one . OK the flame throwers I understand, but where did they get the HESCO's from  . Also it was kinda weird to see the colonel as Jame's father :p The whole "drama" theme they are going for is not so bad but some more P90 time would be appreciated as you guys said :)
ProfTournesol 956 Posted October 29, 2010 The whole "drama" theme they are going for is not so bad but some more P90 time would be appreciated as you guys said :) Bloody hell, i just can't get the point : where did they find those scenarists ? Back in SGC time, action was only once in a while taking place on earth and for deserved reasons. Now it's most of the actions that is happening on earth. I wanna watch a Sci Fi series :protest:, with space ships, aliens :cylon: etc. Same things happened with the original Battlestar Gallactica TV series. 1978 series was very nice, then the 80's redux was very shitty cause happening most of the time on earth. Infam0us 10 Posted October 29, 2010 I thought this weeks episode was a bit odd to be honest, don't get what the point was of Scott hallucinating throughout. Was just one of those episodes were nothing really happens in terms of moving the plot forward, shame really because I'm quite a big fan of all the Stargate's and even I was like "Oh, its one of these episodes again ..." Was just one of those episodes were nothing really happens in terms of moving the plot forward, shame really because I'm quite a big fan of all the Stargate's and even I was like "Oh, its one of these episodes again ..." I couldn't say it better. These silly cheap "hallucinations" are so much annoying! What a waste of time. Why are they doing this? And not only the hallucinations like Scott was having, but why do we have to watch some "ghosts" or "ancients" talking to Rush when he is alone? - can't they find a better way to explain what is Rush thinking? ...it feels really lame. And i really hope they wont add also some stupid "flashbacks" to it, that would be really too much for me. Nobody is interested about what happened 10 years ago, we wanna know what is happening NOW, we wanna see the plot moving forward. But i am still hoping the show gets better, and i watch every new episode, one after another. Seems like i have too much free time on my hands i think ;) ---------- Post added at 10:16 ---------- Previous post was at 09:58 ---------- By the way, who is your favorite character, and who is the one you hate most? For the favorite char i can't decide between Rush and Telford (although Telford is loosing now, since it seems he started playing nice), but when it comes to who i hate most, then that is Chloe without any doubts. Infam0us 10 Posted October 30, 2010 I think Rush's hallucinations make sense, as he's seeing that person who first used the Ancient chair whose now part of the ship he's talking to. I think it would be really difficult to find another way for him to express himself as it is, as he is constantly alone and never tell's anyone else what he's doing. The flashbacks in SG1 were normally in the filler episodes, were at the end of the episode nothing had happened apart from looking at previous episodes, which often felt like they were done with little or no effort to fill time. I still think the show is good, and enjoy the direction its taking though and think that it'll get better as the stories progress on the ship. I think my favourite characters at the moment are Scott and Telford, and maybe Greer. I don't really dislike any of them apart from Rush, but that's just because he's being a sneaky b***** around the ship :D
5133p39 14 Posted October 31, 2010 I think Rush's hallucinations make sense, as he's seeing that person who first used the Ancient chair whose now part of the ship he's talking to.I know, making sense yes, but are they hallucinations? or is it a dialog going on inside his head? or are they real? (ancients?)I think it would be really difficult to find another way for him to express himself as it is, as he is constantly alone and never tell's anyone else what he's doing.Maybe, but i don't think he needs to express himself at all. The fact he already knows how to control the ship, can be made known to the public by some other way (for example by showing how he can now use the ship).I just don't like these "ghosts" as to me it seems like a cheap magic trick. It feels like "audience is stupid, we must tell them as much as possible, because they can't use their brains to get it, we must make ghosts to tell them all the obvious things" (i really didn't feel those ghosts said anything i needed to know or anything i didn't already knew or at least suspected). I hated it even in BSG where Baltar was talking to that blond chick, but there the dialogs were sometimes interesting, and since they were cylons it made sense that they should be able to communicate somehow (that was my explanation, but even so it wasn't exactly logical). But even in BSG i didn't like it. I know, it's my problem :) either deal with that, or stop watching the show, everybody can find something he doesn't like. End of rant :) I think my favourite characters at the moment are Scott and Telford, and maybe Greer. I don't really dislike any of them apart from Rush, but that's just because he's being a sneaky b***** around the ship :D Hehe, i like Rush exactly for the same reasons you hate him :-)))
kavoven 4 Posted October 31, 2010 So Baltar was a cylon too... That explains everything :D I hated his stupid talks with that stupid bitch and thats why I lost track of BSG after 6 episodes (even though I bought the DVD...) Sorry, OT! In my opinion Rush is talking to the ascended versions of those people. And yes, Rush is my favorite character, since he's the only one whos doing right decisions!
