TBH DR isn't terrible...it's a very average shooter.

Couldn't agree less. In my opinion it's way lower than a average game and even old BF2 beats it any time any day :)

i really can't fault this game at all. i just still need to learn the keys better and then find a server and go play some MP. i don't want to join being all fingers n thumbs if i enter a server full of pro's. my pride wont allow it :D

that is why they are opinions. I say it is average, which it is, when you judge it by comparison to the rest of the market. BF2 did what it set out to do very well, it never claimed to be realistic but provided a fun balanced mp game. Judge it against terrible shooters like "you are empty" or several others and it is indeed average. That is, shooting mechanics are average, game play is average everything about the game is functional but average. What it is not however is a realistic soldier sim which is what it was billed to be....

now do i like average shooters no...but what i am trying to say is that DR is not horrible (i could list 50 fpses that are worse) it is simply just a lie wrapped around a very average shooting mechanic.

BF2 i loved it, then i got with a clan playing mods, mainly Mercenaries mod. that rocked so much!

there are some similarities between BF2 and A2 the fact that all flying machines are a bugger to get used to. BF2 was real fun. now no one plays mercs so BF2 for me is dead, vanilla is dia IMHO ballistics are crap, graphics are now crap but its the same guys in the same servers since the game came out lol.

BF2 is a better sim than DR will ever be and BF2 isn't even a sim :lol:

i remember seeing your posts over there but they are mostly all gone now. I've also noticed that If I post with my account, half of them don't show up when viewing as guest. So I guess anything that someone checking the game out, won't see such raging blasts from people.

I can't believe how Dragon Rising has become one major foul-up after another, especially after all of the smack-talking they did against B.I.

It's a good game, but it's like CM considers it a red-headed stepchild. (No offense to redheads or step-children.)

You are acturally using the words soft enought, IMO what CM did is just claming someone elses child to be their own and milk a shit load of money from him while the true parent who acturally give birth and raising the child get hunged dry, then CM still got the balls to use someone elses child fame to boost their own child fame eventhrough they share notthing in common and are generally in a much worse shape.

the true matter of it is he downloaded the demo, got schooled and served by the AI and he couldn't hack not being in control.

or his pc is a pile of crap and because DR runs on his system but A2 wont becuase it has features then thats why he cant/wont play A2 so he sticks with the empty shell that is....DR.

Hardened gamers play A2, dedicated PC gamers, the type with a pair and a decent gaming rig. the rest play whatever their systems will run.

Just thought I would point out that DR has indeed suffered financially, thankfully. Even though this website doesn't have data for PC sales, it's sold less than $1 million world wide in PS3 and 360 sales. At least that is some form of justice.
