OH PS... these were preliminary shots without any mats..... i spent a logn afternoon workin hard on them. They look totally different now.... and so much better. expect details and mat quality like the F-16

Guys you need to stop pming wld asking him to do a U.S. Marine version. This F-18 is RACS only. There are several other mods using the same model, or that have the same aircraft, that will probably eventually release a U.S. Marine version.

This mod is about the RACS, not the U.S. Marines or any other military.

I suppose it's possible you could reskin the PRACS version when it's released but:

A. - It's 100% wld's decision.

B. - It's probably going to be a while before release, even longer if the PMs keep coming.

C. - Like I said, there are atleast 3 different FA/-18s in the works right now. One of them will probably release a Marine version eventually, PRACS will not.

*Also, keep in mind that 90% of the screenshots shown here (including the FA/-18) are at various stages of completion. If something doesn't look right to you speak up, but don't act like your demanding it be changed.

*If I can get my FRAPS to work right, and my GFX card to cooperate, i will post up a video. I just need to make sure I'm not violating Sahrani OPSEC with any of my material. ;)

I agree my picture looks that way. Honestly i suck at taking pics and i still dont understand why my fraps adds sahdoes and darkening thats not there when i take a picture.

Either way its way smooth in game and looks shit hot.

Also this is an E model F-18. Anzac mod will have the F model. The USMC does not use thes versions. only the US Navy.

Special thanks to Franze for allowing us to port and modify his original model, NZCRASH for help and support, and the community for never letting our little army die.

Hi guys....

Sorry to spell out some bad news here but i am going to take a break for a while. I have been working my ass off non stop for months trying to get some of this stuff done. Unfortunately i need help completing things. I have asked over and over and there have been people who come and go and never really contribute. The amount of time ive been spending on the addons has again created discontent in my household as well as being the source of a steady slide of my college grades. There are some addons done some half complete. Hopefully i can get back into it but i doubt it will happen quickly. I wanted to have the addons out long ago but help never materialized. All in all im kinda losing heart to keep going.

I'd be glad to help if I wasn't busy enough with own projects already. But then again all I know is scripting and mission-making, so... Not of much use to most mods anyway.

Think it's the same for most people willing to work some, that they already are busy with projects or lack the skills to help without many months of practice first =/

That's fine. I mean, people unable to commit is one thing. Everyone has the right to work on what they want to work on, and noone thinks any less of anyone who has their own stuff going on. People promising to commit, signing up, taking home the IP packages, mining the SVN, and never returning is another thing entirely.

My partner is very tolerant but I do appreciate how one's modding obsession might create household tension! I do think releasing in stages (a la FFAA, Hexagon, BWMod and others) rather than trying to get everything completed for release all at once (and the extra pressure that possibly creates to get through as much as possible as fast as possible) might make for an easier life.

i want to point out its not dead....

things will definately continue but will be at a snails pace.

it comes down to i wont release crappy addons. and to get the quality i desire and you expect of me im gonna need some help.

so if anyone knows of anybody willing to donate some texturing skills, rvmat skills, animating, etc... etc.... or wants to hlp out in any way please have them contact me. I have many projects that are of varying states of completion and i am sure they would be able to help.
