I'd like to have my voting changed :p From "Some problems but I just deal with it and get on, game is still enjoyable" to "Extremely , Awesome game! no problems what so every" :) Since patch 1.04 every runs great ... and even greater with the 1.04 beta patches. Keep up the good work, BIS!

Yeah, I voted "Some problems but I just deal with it and get on, game is still enjoyable" but probably with the next patch I'd vote "Extremely, Awesome game! no problems whatsoever".

But I believe OFP (the old one)/Arma series are great/getting great mostly because of the community for providing constant feedback and trying to make the games better and better.

BIS you're happy to have such a devoted community! I bet all devs'd like to have this kind of support from their users.

I have been gaming for years and have learned not to join the rush of players who want to DL a game on the first day. I decided that $40 is the most I will pay for a game with any DRM. So I waited a few months for the price to drop and the patches to fix any major bugs. That is why I never have buyers remorse.

lol same here...it seems 1.05 will be a major improvement judging from the latest betas.

Does the 1.05 patch improve performance? My dream is for ArmA2 to be as refined in terms of performance and online play as ArmA1 was with the final beta patch.

The latest couple of betas have been a pretty noticeable improvement (fps and/or smoothness) for me and quite a few others, so I'm pretty sure 1.05 will result in an overall performance improvement. Maybe not a 100% boost, although a man can dream...

There cannot be a 100 % boost for Arma2 needs for good reason much better hardware than all BI games before. Don't expect too much, I'd say and pray.

But soon we will here have over 50 % on the "good" side of the poll.

It steadily increases ... though the old voters who would like to turn their vote are blocked. ;-)

After the release of the next patch this pole should be closed as it no longer represents the game in it's current form.

I voted "Love the game but problem are sucking the fun from it" and I stopped playing for a while

Now I would change my vote to "Good game, Some problems I've managed to over come now running smooth"

Not so worried about technical difficulties, as others have said if you don't rush into the bleeding edge to be a reverse beta tester (where YOU pay for the problems).. lol

For me and the friends I talked into buying this game.. it is the interface. Operation Flashpoint 2 is inferior by a slim margin but they have interface down cold .. the dos style/drop down menus of ARAM II are poor design and I understand... what they have always been. Which is to say there has been no real improvement over years. Learning curve is one thing, senseless learning curve is another.

Allow me to actually buy my squad weapons and I might actually play those stupid command and conquer style missions...

Until then, not satisfied. Even if that worked I wouldn't be satisfied but I'd actually try playing more.

Oh and get rid of the no commanding while dialog is going on. That has ruined everything more than once.

The crashes and lockups during the campaign seem to build steam until you get to the conquest missions and then it just becomes unplayable. Even with patch 1.05. And I've tried it on both Vista and Windows 7. My rig doesn't stutter during the game, the game just breaks while playing the campaign. Does anyone know how to fix this since the patches don't?

Current rig:

I find this poll to be unvalid. It is a poll about how happy you are with the game, posted in the "Troubleshooting" forum section, where those who usually have issues with the game hangs out.

Sure ive experienced bugs, but i have never had the issue that the bugs have sucked the fun out of the game. But ive been brainwashed ever since OFP, so i am like one of those evil cult members that is happy all the time. :shine:

My problems with the game is the speedy to exist LOD ratio (Fifty feet from my Army truck and it looks like ti's made of a cardboard box) and the... infamous numerals of glitches... Oh and I also dislike how all of my infantry and Force Recon teams get raped by simple rusky regiments and Speznatz teams every so often... 75 to 25 win variable basically... Other than that it's great.

Yeah i like this game the only problems i have with it are the movement of infantry for example trying to navigate a house is ridiculous and you can only move at 2 MPH if you want your gun up, some of the features of the AI like staying in formation doesnt seem to be in there vocabulary and the strain it puts on my system. Surely it can be a bit more efficient. But other than that its great. I know i may get burnt but those are things i think OFP:DR have done pretty well.

I love it! Arma 2 has given me my best gaming experiences sofar. Ofcourse these were all in multiplayer servers where teamplay is the norm. But I can imagine if you only play SP, you can get a bit frustrated with the AI. In terms of performance, I have no problems but then again, I might not be as demanding as some hardcore gamers are :D

Still not a single crash... But I would like to see more refinement in the code to optimize the frame rates... The last patch added a tonne of FPS... So if they keep plugin away... They should be able to further refine and squeeze more frames out...

I'm running the biggest laptop a couple of grand could buy, but if I extend the view distance out further then 2400 with my graphics maxed I get some bad frames... Oh and I can't run the game higher then 1200x whatever...

Again... streamline code more... you've got in my opinion the best Military Sim out there to date! By far! Now all we need is a Dynamic campaign and the life is stretched to infinity!
