Hachiman, are you using CAA1? If so, how did you get the ground texture on Avgani to stop looking like a chessboard? It's really been bugging me. :p

Yeah I'm using CAA1, the graphics look much better when I have the texture detail option set at 'very high' but I change it to 'high' when recording gameplay because my P.C struggles to maintain 60fps during large engagement's when I record with FRAPS.

I noticed that when I'm recording with FRAPS I can't see my machine gunners tracers during firefights. It's very annoying because it looks absolutely awesome when my machine gunner opens up with the M240 and tracer rounds ricochet all over the place, it makes the game feel very realistic.

Intellectually, I understand the numbers and variants of vehicles that are in Arma2 - But this video, as simple as it is, really brought it home. Please note the TRT of the video. Speaks volumes.

scrub, that could be a good trailer for this game. a lot of drivers out there and pilots ;)

just goes to show the contents of this. shame its not possible to line all the small arms up too.

After testing the enemy AI's urban combat capabilities I found the enemy becomes 100% more aggressive when using the Random House Patrol script.
When I tested the AI without the script they assumed a prone position almost immediately after being engaged and continued to stay in that same position for a very long time. This made it far too easy for a human player to quickly suppress enemy infantry then safely move within hand grenade range and throw a grenade through a window or on a rooftop where the enemy was still hiding in a prone position.
When I tested the enemy AI with the script they became far more aggressive, as soon as my men moved their suppression fire from one location to another the enemy would re-emerge from behind cover and give the human player one hell of a fight.
Here's some gameplay footage of the enemy AI using the Random House Patrol script. In each of the 6 short scenes I only used one enemy AI soldier so I could record it's behaviour from the human players perspective without being promptly killed. When fighting against multiple aggressive enemy AI using the Random House Patrol script it makes for some very intense action, particularly if they are all firing from different directions.

There was a simple and good script made by Kronzky ( i guess i misspelled it ), you could put weapons everywhere with the desired rotation ( all the 3 axis ) and at a given height.

That is truly one of the most amazing videos for arma2 or any game i've ever seen. The amount of work that went into each one of those vehicles is truly astounding and it made me realise how hard the boys at BI work. On top of that the simplicity and even soundtrack made it light hearted but presented the subject matter in a visually impactful way. Truly stunning.

That's just about the worst movie I've ever seen.

Why would anybody want to create an idea of terrorists attacking a church? I don't think even they'd do that.

The movie quality is poor too, but I wouldn't say so if it at least had a good idea and potential in it.

And you know, ironically, a priest was killed inside of his own church in Russia this week. Sad...
