WIP: Stuff you are working on 2!

Thought I'd join the general melee with an early WIP of my British 'Bulldog' APC.

and YES if your a UK taxpayer it's a FANTASTIC waste of your money ...

but, hey, I'm a UK taxpayer ... if I've paid for it then I bl**dy want one!..

Today I worked on the gun a little, there is still a lot to do but as the old saying goes:

Time goes on, and your work develops.

Sorry for the dark renders on some monitors, light source wasn't finally set.

Atm I'm working on reducing the power of the bump maps and the diffuse map in general.

Pics are too dark to see anything. In one of the highlights, it looks like your bump map is too strong.

Too much effort. I use photoshop to do my own stuff... least he could do if he wants to show his stuff is make it so I don't have to jump through hoops just to see it.

Well its almost 20k faces, but the radio cord has 5k of those. :D I add the subsurf without applying it and work till it looks good with that modifier.

Anyway, if you feel like donating a CIRAS vest, I'm not going to resist. :D

The original mesh is quite dense and subdividing it doesn't really add much... at least, I can't *really* tell the difference other than spotting the vertex shading problem on the vest.

Haven't had much time to do anything hobby related the last couple weeks. But I did find a few hours to drag the tablet out and get some of the base colors painted on. Still dinking around with colors/textures. Hopefully I'll find time to do some real work on it soon.

No normals or AOs, just quick mr renders. ;)

The WP looks pretty good. I remember the 155 rounds hitting and expanding quite rapidly upward about twice/thrice as high, as wide. Then it all kinda grew/fell together. If that makes sense. Looks cool one way or the other though ;) (former FO, 3ID)

That's neat. I like the m47 dragon stuff. Now you just have to make it sound like it's constantly exploding super loudly and you're set!

Yea will appear after 1.9 stable is out, too much of a risk to throw into the RCs at the moment (feature freeze or not).

You are all probably bored to death of my Dragon videos lately, but here is pretty much what it will look like in its final state.

Integrated it with ACE fully (was a mission script the last two videos). The sights zoom is where I'm happy (technically it should be zoomed in a tiny bit more) and its correcting its flight path more realistically now (as far as I can tell).

Also replaced the AI version so it sounds like the Dragon when its flying (though it still moves like a TOW).

As you can see its pretty unwieldy! What an amazing piece of crap! :D
