You are the only one that actually scares me when you are threatening that you might quit! I been following your threads and I put full faith in your work as you aim for a quality product on all levels. Alot of addons are very nice and show some quality, but there are too much errors, bad scripts, bad optimalization and sloppy work. The way you present your way of making addons, and what I have seen makes me confident that your endproduct will be something I will use without hesitation!

Please do not take anything negative from an unknown anonymous internet-user personally. There are serious appreciation of your work and efforts!

I will have to say that people that have the "world revolves around me" or "Cup half empty" attitude

should quit using mods and make them thereselves.  Just a thought.

Also I think that everyone should be happy and saying thank you to Rock, and RH for there hard and great work.  Without them

you guys wouldnt have all these great addons to play with.  My guess there are tons of

addons out there that are private, but RH, and Rock are nice enough to release theres and not make it private.  Another thing people need

to understand is that great stuff takes time and there will be a "wait".  Thats the sacrifice to have good things.  If everything

got released as soon as possibe everything would be junk.

To sum all this up.  Everything will eventrully be realeased, but it takes time and stuff (work, family, injury, computer breaking) might get in the way.  To add the person that makes the mod

should be happy with there work before they release it.

RH and Rock, your guys releases are going to be great.  Waiting for the day that it will be released.

Thank you for saying that but in this particular case is EricM you need to thank. Its 95% Eric's work on this addon and he deserves the credit. All ive done is get the Hind in game.  RH is only repainting Eric's PSD too.

Just for your info, I'm trying to gain "weight" on the texture side of things.

Currently with all the higher def color, specular and normal maps, the beast is a bit heavy (near 120 Mo for one version mind you), which defeats the point of having a nicely optimized model I think.

I'm playing with texture size and compressions to see how far I can go without having too much quality loss. With current results, I think I can target around 70Mo/75Mo...

If it's delayed, it's really for your own good. But it's coming along nicely. So the wait shouldn't be too long for the beta.

i hope i did not come across as impatient. i have the utmost respect for your (and other addon-makers) work. i really do like ArmA, (at the moment it is one of only two games i have on my hdd), but it shines only with a standard set of addons imo. addons provide most of the details that make this already good game great.

And cant wait to try it out, the hind is really a big bad ugly mf. But its great for arma its a symbol allmost of russian power.

Allthough I think Ill be seeing this aircraft from the other end more then Ill be flying it myself.

Have you guys sorted out which armament versions there will be?

The cannon pod looks a bit small, but probally its been moddelled

too large in other addons. Also that fuel tank shaped thing next to the cannonpod is that the ammo container? How does it feed

the rounds to the gun in RL ?

Will there be bombs, like a simple FAB250 but also Fire bombs perhaps?

Is that even possible with Helicopter flight model?

And the armour values, have those been "changed" to be more realistic?

I found the RHS hind to be a bit lightly armoured, while the Hind has quite allot of armour If im not mistaken??

How does it fair against HMG fire and small arms fire?

And does the cockpit glass stop bullets?

Don't like the metallic sheen happening through the camo paint schemes. I don't know how they paint their birds in the former CommBloc or Warsaw Pact, but I can tell you that the U.S. Army's helo paint jobs do NOT allow a metallic sheen to get through.

No gloss paint. FLAT paint.

I can certainly live with it, though, in order to have a badly-needed issue-free Hind in-game.
