  1. i have the same problem, apart from i did not get any error message. the installer just stopped working after entering activation-serial-code. the game is patched to 1.05, patch installation was no problem for the last patches. os is win7pro 64bit.

    Ghost Recon: Future Soldier trailer.

actually i quite liked GRAW for the sounds and for the reload-animations. GRIN even got dry and chambered reloading right. i especially liked the mp5. the game itself was decent imo, but on the other hand i could never get into OGR because of the missing weapon models. but the original R6 was great!
  3. i didn't really test it, i only played a little around with planes in the armory on utes, and - unlike the last beta's - the trees disappeared quite early, like in pre-60522 versions. but it`s not measured, only the feeling that something changed. that`s why i asked if others maybe experienced the same... btw, i have my vd set to roughly 4.500 and object detail to very high. have to check it properly, compairing the versions.
  4. Is it only me, or is the draw distance for objects reduced again to pre-60522 values? 60899 is still really nice, but in 60902 objects pop in way to close for my liking.
  5. finally my copy arrived in the mail! although i'm german i preordered the 505 version because i do not want to suport a publisher who destroys BIS reputation in germany by foolishly forcing a premature release. off course a bad translation only helps making this decision... installing now, can't wait to play the game finally. thanks BIS!
  6. i don't think so. at least (as already stated) you have the sa-10 radar-tower wich *might* hint to some kind of radar system implemented, you have combined aa/ag missiles on the su-34 which *might* hint for finally more flexible weapon-systems on aircraft, and you have bombs on the hind which shows BI's attention to detail this time (because this capability of the hind is afaik mostly neglected in games). also there is now a NSVT on the t-90. funny nobody mentions it after all the flak BI took earlier for adding a wrong machine gun...
  7. @liongreek: i totally understand what your saying. and i'm glad that you have taken my words exactly as they were ment: constructive criticism. as i said, i'm not really aware of the problems you encounter while creating the fm for arma. i once tried to change the BIS ka-50 fm after reading the explanations by RockofSL regarding the subject, but failed miserably... imo, your apache handling a little less agile and having more "weight" than the stock cobra could be a nice target, but no sweat. @XSparky: let me just repeat that i'm really stunned by the work you guys have put in this helicopter. the scripted systems and especially the weapon proxies are ace! i hope you didn't get my words the wrong way. keep up the great work!
  8. congratulations to the release! excellent visual quality and scripting, there are some nice systems in the apache. unfortunately, i'm not really impressed by the handling characteristics of the chopper. imo it seriously lacks "weight", especially if compared to the excellent RKSL/EricM helos and the "patched" stock ones (the heinbloed helicopter addon iirc). i admit that i have no real idea how hard it is to change the fm of helicopters in ArmA, but imo it would be good to give them a little more weight and make the handling a little less responsive. thanks for your great work!

    ArmA photography - Questions&Comments

@franze: su-22 looking excellent!! i did not forget your last set of advertising screens and i'm excited to see new pics. looking forward to fly this beauty.
  10. clearly the new sound-engine is a massive leap forward. i am mostly impressed by the sound of the tanks / choppers / planes just standing. the abrams standing in the field "humming" blows me away.

the best got even better... extremely well done, chammy!! i had only a quick look at the sounds of the gear i use and drive/fly regularly, but the choppers (love the ka-50!! ) and personal weapon sounds are simply amazing. thanks for your hard work!!
