I read the joystick issues have been solved...well I stil have them. Anything I missed?

1) Joystick buttons 1,2,5,6,7,8 (MS Sidewinder Pro2) cannot be reconfigured in control options

2) Joystick buttons 7 and 5 can select only the first and second item in the action menu (keyboard "]" works without problems)

3) Brightness changes abruptly when moving

4) Auto-hover is unable to fully stabilize a chopper if activated at speed

5) AI AA Specialist (Strela) does not attack planes. Refuses even when ordered to (responds NEGATIVE). A-10 was set to circle above us. Tried at several speeds and distances.

6) Objects disappear at 1900m even though view distance is set to 3000m. All video options at highest levels, weather clear.

7) AI gunners do not know how to properly lead a running target.

Is it possible that the installer is broken?

The patch just needed ~1s to get ready installed, and i wonder, because the file is 65mb, and 65mb need more time usually.

My intro screen shows 1.07.5157 ... but i dont feel a difference at the flight modell, after a short test with Ah1Z & KA50.

It is very quick install this time so all is fine you see in game 1.07.5157

The flight model tweaks are very subtle so quite possible you don't notice it at all.

You are right, DVD. Was wondering, thought the installer just replaced something, but it could be a placebo patch...

Update: The date codes for bin.pbo and core.pbo are changed, but not the exe, which seems odd.

This is sort of off topic but I am so tired of seeing people with 8xxx cards pandered to. Nvidia only releases drivers for them now and it has been over 1 year since they released a driver for anyone with a 79xx card.

My video card is less that 1 year old and cost me over $400 and it is abandoned by Nvidia.

Hopefully BIS isn't following the same route and ignoring us too!! My 7900 has texture and LOD problems too with Arma!

Well it crashed quite soon after starting a mission, just like the previous beta patch did. Only a few minutes of play and a crash.

This patch solved the texture and lod problems I had on my 8800GTS.

The haze and the longer loading times compared to 1.5beta stayed however.

AV-8B don't use their bombs on the targets.

Hopefully I'll find some good servers to test this, a lot of them switched back to 1.05
