Luciano 0 Posted February 21, 2007 Amazon.uk is selling the game 30% off. There are some used games even cheaper, so don't forget to buy a copy or 2. Arma is so successfuly, less than a week of its UK release, stores are already cutting prices, just to get rid of it?

Luciano 0 Posted February 21, 2007 When a new game is being sold 30% off less than a week after its released, its worth talking about it
Fred DM 0 Posted February 21, 2007 i have noticed that too; a local game shop has been selling ArmA (GER) at 30% off for a while now. on the other hand, ArmA managed to get in the top 10 and stay there quite long, in some places it still is, and it was number 1 and 2 in the charts briefly. i can only guess, but i'm pretty sure a lot of people that bought the game have since returned it. hence the reduced price in some shops. i bet we will see a re-release once a few patches have improved the game. l mandrake 9 Posted February 21, 2007 Arma will soon become the supreme niche title for online infantry simmers - and will almost certainly remain so until Game 2 arrives. That means it will spread by word of mouth and will keep selling at a constant rate for a long time, unlike most 'play in a weekend' first-person shooters. Already the MP aspect of Arma is superb; I have been blown away by the online CTF battles I have played so far - no other game has ever come close to this level of immersion, and this is my 'vanilla' 1.04 version. The SP game feels like an afterthought, though I'm certain it will be improved. I wonder how long before the booboyz stop crying about the game's premature release and start posting balanced opinions on the forum?
froggyluv 2136 Posted February 21, 2007 .I wonder how long before the booboyz stop crying about the game's premature release and start posting balanced opinions on the forum? But then they would have nothing to do. Simply put - they Enjoy misery.
sirex 0 Posted February 21, 2007 i got arma at 30% off the day before release, whats your point ?
surpher 1 Posted February 21, 2007 It's currently the 2nd best selling PC game on amazon, so what's your point besides trolling.
Dallas 9 Posted February 21, 2007 It's currently the 2nd best selling PC game on amazon, so what's your point besides trolling. I don't think he's got one. Paid full price twice, for the german and for the 505, still I feel I got the better end of the deal.

Tracer 0 Posted February 21, 2007 Arma is so successfuly, less than a week of its UK release, stores are already cutting prices, just to get rid of it? All the posts I ever see from you, are you moaning about the game, if you don't like it, why are you here? I just noticed his profile; 100 posts and he just joined in Jan 2007! Like HELLO! i'm 2001 and only up to barely 70. Obviously can't shut up! Â I bought ArmA at Gameplay for 21.99 pre-order, so what? All games go for discount some where on the web. It's called marketing
maruk 80 Posted February 21, 2007 I agree with Luciano it really is very good deal to buy ArmA on amazon.co.uk.
Dr. Mojo- PhD 0 Posted February 21, 2007 Heck, maybe he's just saying that it's a damn good deal. Or not. As for the misery people, some people just want to see flaws. I've got to admit myself that the flaws in ArmA really piss me off a whole lot more than in any other game. It's like dating the most beautiful, caring, sensitive, compassionate, intelligent woman, but every now and then she'll just wake up in the middle of the night and pee on your chest. It would be kind of expected if she wasn't perfect otherwise. Coming from her, though, it's made that much more intensely bizarre.
Jack-UK 0 Posted February 21, 2007 Dr. Mojo your comparison to dating that woman was hilarious :P But seriously, i dont think ArmA is that bad at all, i've now got my full version and im loving it Only issue ive encountered is 'texture popping' but it seems to be reduced the more i play... And i know BIS patches are always very good (1.03 (demo) -> 1.04 gave me much better performance and its early days) Nice job BIS! And i'd definately reccomend Amazon order, they have fast delivery and at a great price

Jack-UK 0 Posted February 21, 2007 Amazon have a gun to his head Nah it is a good deal, they ship to Europe just as fast as they can ship in the UK too! Someone in my clan got it shipped to Menorca (i think?) after it being ordered on saturday and got it delivered today Im not sure if they ship to NA tho... binkster 0 Posted February 21, 2007 Luciano this means nothing in terms of sales. This could be of many reasons. As a business man myself, deals could have been made in many different areas. For example I sale product and sometimes I give deals such as you buy 100 and I will give you 10 free, therefore retailers can bring cost down and still make a good margin. I’ve read allot of negative post from you. Your opinion is yours but don’t try to start arguments and flaming Bis because of your opinion. Arma is one of the best games in my opinion. After the release of the tools this game will surpass ofp. Like some said in other post why stay here and post here if all you have is negative things to say. Killerwatt 0 Posted February 21, 2007 I agree with Luciano it really is very good deal to  buy ArmA on amazon.co.uk. Dang it! Maruk You made me spit my coffee all over my monitor I bought it from Amazon on pre-order and got the discount so its not as if they are desperate to get rid. MehMan 0 Posted February 21, 2007 Yeah, ArmA sales must be pretty low if they're beating WoW. The only two games they are not beating is: Sims2(doh) and SupCom(hell, it's SupCom!.
Fred DM 0 Posted February 21, 2007 sales rankings don't necessarily mean anything; they don't reflect how many copies have been returned. that happened to Gothic 3, and i'm sure it also happens to Armed Assault. of course, no one is releasing those numbers...
