Col. Faulkner 0 Posted November 18, 2008 Fiddling about trying to make a bod in a respirator recently it occurred to me that it doesn't really have any function in the game. I did a forum search but never found anything apropos. Does anyone know if anyone has yet created any sort of chemical weapon (or at the very least tear gas) for ArmA? Pvt.Reaper 8 Posted November 23, 2008 ENOUGH OF THE WEAPONS OF THE PAST, I PRESENT THE WEAPONS OF THE FUTURE!!! Hi can Somebody make the Future Combat System. The first brigade equipped with it is suspected to be in service by 2015 and full production is expected to follow and 15 brigades by 2030. Technical Field Testing began this year. Click here to view the picture in full size It is composed of the system itself and multiple manned and unmanned subsystems. And most of the subsystems and the main system are still in works or in prototype stages. Full Wikipedia Article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Future_Combat_System Global Security Article http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/ground/fcs.htm Here is something from wikipedia about it Future Combat Systems (FCS) is the United States Army's principal modernization program. FCS includes 14+1+1 systems consisting of unattended ground sensors (UGS), the Non-Line of Sight – Launch System (NLOS-LS), two classes of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) organic to platoon, and Brigade Combat Team (BCT) echelons; two classes of unmanned ground vehicles, the Small Unmanned Ground Vehicle (SUGV), and Multifunctional Utility/Logistics and Equipment Vehicle (MULE) variants; and the eight manned ground vehicles (14 individual systems), plus the network (14+1), plus the Soldier (14+1+1). FCS is intended to be a joint (across all US military services) networked system of systems, although it is being developed by a US Army program office. The Boeing Company and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) are partnered together as the lead systems integrator for this program which involves more than 550 contractors and subcontractors in 41 states .[1] The program has completed about one third of its development which extends to 2030. Technical field test begins in 2008. The first combat brigade equipped with FCS is expected to roll out around 2015, followed by full production to equip as many as 15 brigades by 2030.[2] ALSO: Common Remotely Operated Weapon System or CROWS armed HMMWVs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CROWS And the Stryker Mobile Gun System http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_Gun_System X-47 Pegasus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-47_Pegasus Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expeditionary_Fighting_Vehicle Dragon Fire (mortar) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_Fire_(mortar) Tactical High Energy Laser http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tactical_High_Energy_Laser Boeing YAL-1 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airborne_Laser

Col. Faulkner 0 Posted November 24, 2008 While it's a bit unlikely that much of that kit will enter service on schedule (or at all), it'd still be interesting to play with in a wargame. It'd be a very ambitious mod project, though, and difficult to do properly so that the "electronic battlespace" aspect of it is properly represented.

icewindo 29 Posted November 25, 2008 I was thinking of creating a Jericho ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jericho_(TV_series) )-inspired mission... Did anybody ever work on NBC units besides Colonel Well? I mean the units are ok in the looks, but they can't be killed so they're pretty useless on anything else than cutscenes. For OFP I have about 4 different nbc soldier packs installed, so I would request a nbc soldier pack . Also, anybody worked on a island similar to any u.s. countryside? With some villages, a lake, maybe a military base, Okay, that's request number two. Decent nbc soldiers and a island (currently I'm planning to use Schmalfelden and hide the map ingame if there isn't any better suiting island), that's all I need, the nuke addon works fine ingame, the civilians and st Infantry Division Units likewise. As for mercenaries (Ravenwood) I'm planning to use the MGS4-inspired, they look closest to Ravenwood. They would still need a retextured hmmv though. I know QG has one, but that would narrow down the count of potential players I guess... Well, but then again, with the heavy addon-load I'm looking at, the mission might be a stay-at-harddisk anyways, as some other missions I started  .

Ubershank 0 Posted November 29, 2008 Ok I've been looking everywhere for these and I'm either blind or just SOL, I'm on the lookout for stand-alone mines that don't require a mod to work, just a simple addon. preferably AP mines (claymores, bouncing bettys etc) its getting tiring scripting "ghetto mines" from the editor or having compatibility issues with mods just to use their mines, something authentic would be nice, if anyone knows of any please by all means point me in that direction. Â *Edit* Also arctic warfare units/vehicles would be a nice addition, reminds me of OPF arctic addons.

low light 0 Posted November 30, 2008 I'd love to see an OV10 Bronco in game. I feel it would an ideal platform to conduct all sorts of Air-Air and Air-Ground operation. I feel a Bronco would be a great weapons platform. I'm no expert but I think it would fit in and feel 'right' for the RACS. A low cost aerial weapons and observation platform that would be highly effective against infantry and light armour. Â Â (Source:www.maneyaircraft.com/img/ov10.jpg) I still remember the DKM Bronco in OFP and remember how great it was for CAS And Recon missions. (Source:http://ofp.gamepark.cz/) Check out this more 'modern' set-up: (Source:www.cow.cc) More info on the net obviously, but would love it if one of the teams out there could make a one or even a few of the variations out there.
