As this is the Addon request thread, I would like to see someone make a Scimitar and a Striker in Household Cavalry flash and some Royal Marines, then with the Landie and RKSL's Merlin and Lynx you have everything you need for a virtual 3 Commando, well, almost. cheers, its coming along nicely as well - end of the week I'll try and have some more substantial pictures of it. all those addons, excpet of course for the RKSL stuff, are being made by us (UKF), although the order of release is heavily dictated by how common they are (Thus you'll see a scimitar before a striker) - Royal Marines are part of the infantry pack that will be pretty much the first release. Soldier models were made from scratch to an extent (heavy modification of existing work we've done and the BIS model - Chris aka Pathy is the man behind that and he'd be able to explain the extent of the work better than me) We'll update our website when we see fit, and normally once we have something substantial to show. We'll start a forum thread here when that time comes, but our plan has always remained the same, to create british land forces for ArmA - What that includes is normally decided quite late on, but if you just imagine the most common vehicles and weapons in use in the British armed forces, you'll have pretty much what we're planning to or have made. anyway, this isn't our thread to pimp in, so I'll keep it to that [edit] Queens gambit is just an additional few campaigns and some extra addons. Any idea if it would be possible to model this (overheating from sustained high ROF's / having to swop barrels) in ArmA for the M240 and PKM? And while I'm at it, how about an RPK and/or an RPD? You'd need to count the rounds fired in a given time period and factor in any periods of nonfiring and assess how much the barrel would cool.  On top of that you'd need to adjust the accuracy of the gun as the barrel heated up. It also seems a bit OTT, given that in the game you cannot even hold the guns correctly, your character carries something like 600 rounds of link plus  the gun and personal kit, the bipods do not work, there is no notion of a "gun team", AI enemies cannot be suppressed by fire and there are no reload animations. Unlike the un-realistic hollywood version GBU thats in ArmA currently. I want the massive dirt cloud. I dunno how code intensive counting bullets would be, but if you had a counter that went from 0 (cool) to 100 (overheated), and have it count down 1 per second if 1 or over until it reaches zero and can fire again..... Just random numbers, I dunno. With the right animations you could even simulate changing barrels with an action in the menu, which has the effect of resetting the heat to 0. I think it'd be my personal dream to see proper weapon crews for machine gun emplacements in ArmA. I know its been done in OFP mods, so it has to be possible now the tools are out in force. Spare barrels could be actual inventory items that take up 2 spaces much like a rocket and the spare ammo boxes. Also is it possible to make automatic sidearms? I was thinking it'd be nice to see something like a Beretta 93R as an accompaniment for the M9, or an old Russian Stechkin (which have made a comeback in their special forces, but used to be issued to vehicle crews instead of the AKS 74U. So my request, is somebody out there and can import the combat grave from CWC to ARMA? It is the gun with the helmet on top of it ... i would do it myself but i have no clue because i never did something like that and i do not heve any progs for that ether.
