Al Simmons 0 Posted January 10, 2007 i've noticed that some objects (buildings/walls) in arma aren't destructable , do the breaching charges work on all the walls you've tested? I wasnt able to find a wall that could resist the power of the breaching charge )rStrangelove @ Jan. 10 2007,00:21)]Any chance for a knife tool / special spray that would cut holes into metal fences ? (spray scene appeared in "The sum of all fears" movie) Hm... i would like to see how u take down a solid concrete wall with a wire cutter. Lets see, maybe i find a way to implement those wirecutters BTW. a small update pic
znashin 0 Posted January 10, 2007 Really good stuff Hope it all works out.
Espectro (DayZ) 0 Posted January 10, 2007 @ rksl I would certainly hope in time we will have doors windows and most other things ,ending up with a complete building. As for what happens to bis buildings ,well it will kill/knock a standard bis wall down at this present time, altho it can be configured to destroy any given class. here is a w.i.p i have made earlier today whilst testing a new brick model ,that al simmons made for me . The video apologies for music. @ nephilim as far as i am aware the hit anim was removed from arma . Do you have a lowend system since the lag? How much more computer power does these destructable objects take compared to ordinary ones?
icehollow 0 Posted January 10, 2007 friggin epic. this mod is going to be extremely handy and cool.
deanosbeano 0 Posted January 10, 2007 Do you have a lowend system since the lag?How much more computer power does these destructable objects take compared to ordinary ones? 1 what lag ? 2 none , theses units will be usable with any object already on an island or editor placed bis objects 3 the bricks in video are my own seperate venture and will be used to block certain places in certain buildings ,in order to create rescue/entry type missions. deanosbeano 0 Posted January 10, 2007 Quote[/b] ]Why would they want to breach that tiny wall when they could just crawl over it, go around, or go through the house none of which is possible in arma , solid house cant get down from rooftops cant climb over walls . are you another that dosent have the game ,yet offers advice ? shall i make the sign in my sig 61 %
Jack-UK 0 Posted January 10, 2007 Wow this looks cool and useful for ArmA! Nice job there guys =) p.s. lol at the music on that video hehe
Al Simmons 0 Posted January 11, 2007 Another update on the progress, as u can see some of the stuff from FAC-addon has been fixed. First a small vid from deanosbeano showing some of the tools in action. Entry tools
Col. Faulkner 0 Posted January 11, 2007 It'd be nice if interior walls in buildings could be "destructible" too, for mouseholing. The wirecutters reference earlier was intended for the wire fences that you encounter in some places on the maps (and which are impassable in the game to men on foot)
Clavicula_nox4817 0 Posted January 11, 2007 This looks pretty cool, is there any way there could be another ladder that is perhaps a little taller? Like..an extendable ladder or something? Most of the best roofs are pretty high up there, after all.

Clavicula_nox4817 0 Posted January 11, 2007 The best example I could find are a few buildings in the Dolores city. Most of the largest buildings that I surveyed had scaffolding or something, but then there were a few that just don't. Once the ladder is deployed, can it also be retrieved? I have seen a few buildings with 2 different heights and you could use the ladder to get to the lowest height, pick it up, then use it for the highest point. At any rate, this looks like a really cool addon.

EDIT unfortunately you fall through balcony so when you retrieve ladde to re deploy, you fall to ground. it works for all other buildings with decent 2/3 tier roofs yes you can retrieve ladder ,as long as you are near to it . but you can go and kill a few and come back and get it any time . i will post video tomorrow, late now. Al Simmons 0 Posted January 12, 2007 Good News: WIP Status is now 95% , we think we can release it in the early next week. Bad News: Stuff like wirecutters, hooligan tool etc. will not work wit standard BIS Buildings and Fences. So in the first release they will only be athmospherical stuff. Good News: They are planned to work with deanosbeanos destructable buildings.
znashin 0 Posted January 12, 2007 Maybe have a grappling hook and rope for three storey buildings... wouldn't have to be animated or look great so long as it functions.
Al Simmons 0 Posted January 12, 2007 i think it would be more realistic to get by chopper on such high buildings than by other tools.
the unknown 0 Posted January 13, 2007 This is a great idea but, do the flashbangs work on ai or is it only on players.

icehollow 0 Posted January 13, 2007 IMO for flashbangs, the initial bang should be very loud.
Mr_Tea 0 Posted January 13, 2007 That`s why they`re called Flashbang, and not Flash grenade. They are that loud as an normal HE grenade.
