So there are a large number of games of this type on the platform, but at the time of its release Operation Flashpoint was considered one of the best for its incredible realism and powerful depictions of the chaos of battle. °°°°°°°°°°°°°° original article

Heatseeker 0 Posted September 29, 2006 Its been posted many times that it sold over 1 million . Those figures are too small for international and too big for the US imho..
dm 9 Posted September 29, 2006 I love how they can list this as the "top 100 games of the 21st century" Last time I checked, we were 6 years into the 21st century, so theres another 94 years in which to make games, most of which will be better than what is listed here. Ofcourse there are timeless classics, but most games are played and forgotten. And having the list for the US only... There are a lot of other countries out there that have games markets as big, if not bigger than the US. *Sigh* Edit This list would be better titled "The top selling 100 games in america of 2000-2006" And rating games by units sold, thats so very wrong. Just because it sells a lot doesnt mean its GOOD.

VictorTroska 0 Posted September 29, 2006 what a stupid list....just a look at the games they put on that list makes me sick.... Glad to see Flashpoint on that list... but they should order them by genre.... its funny to see Flashpoint next to Mahjong ,Deer Hunter and other shitty games..... Just one word: lame

MAA3057 0 Posted September 30, 2006 It would take alot more research to find the Top 100 games. OFP has one of the most dedicated communities I have ever come across and deserves to be within the top 10 in my opinion. DeaMeatX was dead on about it being non-sense to judge a game by the amount of units sold. That belongs in the Top 100 best marketed-games-from-publishers-with-money-to-waste-to-gain-hype.
