Confirmed release dates and countries.

Recommended Posts

for those answers and official ones we need to wait alittle more.

we were promised 2 demos near the release dates.

one month for the latest release.

i believe soon we will see a link for those demos.

After that we can see how the game is and if its worth buying it or not.

We will have time to think after a demo.

let it come when the right time comes. Hope is soon, very soon.

Are you using a Crystal ball. If so will i be rich? will Armed assault have a bargain Budget price, since its released 4 months later in the UK.

Four months for it to come out in the UK? Its ridiculous!

funny... the american release of OFP was about the same 'delay' after the european (june - september)

i frankly give up with some of the members here tho... moaning wont achieve anything, BI have no say in when the release date is... so go complain to your pet hamster, as thats about as useful as moaning about it here.

of course... but people keep chosing to ignore/switch off common sense with regards to this. Releasing to just one market is alot easier and quicker than a market the size of europe... patience is a virtue they say whistle.gif

Not if you download it online. So how about next month we get to download it. That would make eveyone happy and i don`t belive an online download would take long to setup. If i am wrong about this can somone who knows tell me the exact proceeder. Not somone who doesnt really know.

Normally it takes 3-4 weeks for a game publisher to create and box the game after recieving the gold.

But 505 games is a kind of crappy small little thing who aren't really up for the job.

I won't buy it from them - if they wanted my money they would have signed the contract 2 months ago - end of story. I will just buy from one of the other publishers.

good luck finding someone who knows exactly how it works... but from someone who doesnt:

You're obviously right that it would take less time as you dont have to consider DCD burning, manual printing and case production, nor do you have to consider talking to retail outlets to sell your product to the customer and a 100 other things...

but things to consider dudester:

1. Would they use an existing online distribution method (for example, steam, and others which i forget the name of)

2. Would they opt to create their own online distribution method?

3. If they managed to find a publisher for all the markets, would they not bother at all?

Some food for thought perhaps?

I bet they can't sleep at night knowing that. A percentage of your money goes to BIS either way you play it, so thats always a good thing of course smile_o.gif

No offence, but what slippers do you wear to make you so relaxed. People are People and People moan, its called human nature. Obviously people are of to moan when there not getting somthing untill 4 months after someboby else. They come here and moan because this is the community for this game. Its abit like complaining to the police when you have been burgled. But they dont tell you not to moan because eventually the insurance will pay out. If people want to complain its there right why are you so conserned over it. You can easy ignore it.

none taken... Its just a game, people seem worked up like its life and death - I'm not relaxed, and i dont like slippers - lol - I'm just not going to cry and scream because a computer game isnt going to be release by x and x date... there is an outside world you know? I mean, christ, perhaps spend xmas with your friends and family, instead of glued to Armed Assault? There are more important things in life.

Your police anology is a little flawed... you can 'tell' the police you've been burgled, but constantly moaning to them that you've been burgled is just as idiotic as doing the same here - its not going to change the fact that you've been burgled, and nor is it going to make them find the theif any quicker... its more likely to waste their time... as do the people who moan here... moaning achieves nothing, unless your 6 months old and you've just shat in your nappy.

people have the right to moan.... if there's a decent reason to moan. Whats the point of moaning to people who cant do a blind bit of difference to solve it? I can easily ignore it, just as you can easily live with the fact that the european release isnt till 2007... but you've chosen not to, as have I.

1. Wich ever was the quickest, to get the game out and make the community that supports them happy.

Dudester - of course they want to keep the community happy, but thats not the only factor they have to consider... at the end of the day they're a company, a company that needs to make money to stay afloat... what may seem the easiest and quickest method, may not be the most profitable.

codemasters was a quick and easy publisher for OFP... but imagine if codemasters had actually bothered with decent marketing etc... perhaps OFP would be twice the success it is today... You cant blame (although i suspect you'll find a way/reason) BIS for playing their cards safely given the way codemasters handles ofp, and that being a small company, with only the one project at a time (or so), that a disaterous release would screw them.

It seems fair that they ensure that they make their profits and that they dont get screwed in the process... after all I'm happy to wait till Q1 2007 (which by the way includes January 1st as well as March 31st) if it means BIS carrys on its hard work and reaps the rewards for it. At the end of the day i'll have armed assault on my pc one way or another.

[edit]

ofpforum added a very good point that i missed as well, that a quick pushed out release ala BF2/EA means a buggy flawed game... a slower, considered and generally planned release means a better final product... or generally speaking.

They dont want it released as quickly as possible, they want it released as best as possible, which makes most people much more happy, otherwise you are going to complain about something else again rofl.gif

And they do bother, they too want this game released, they need to money if they ever want to finish Game2. But sometimes life just sucks and it isnt possible to do it in a better/quicker way...

Download some pron in the meantime, or maybe there are actually usefull things that you can do! thumbs-up.gif
