Laser's US Weapons pack v3.0 and Para Rescue pack

Awesome units, great detail. You're setting the standard laser. The weapons are in my opinion the greatest part of this pack.

Why no groups for these units though? Any plans for them in a patch?

I can't speak for Laser and I'm not the best educated regarding CCTs and PJs, but one would think that information regarding how their units are laid out is somewhat classified. It's possible that he just didn't want to best-guess a group together, instead leaving it to the mission maker to do that.

Hell, for all I know, PJ and CCT units might simply be grouped up into teams for each mission. I don't think that's how it works, but it's a possible reason why there are no groups.

That or it's a simple oversight that for some reason wasn't caught in the beta phase.

Why the mix in low poly acog 4x and high poly?

The low poly aimpoint and acog ruin the otherwise amazing guns. (not forgetting the elcan) The model of the eotech is fantastic but the 2d image is a real dissapointment. (edges are pixelated to hell)

With such a huge weapon pack youve gone beyond the call of duty but, its very rushed overall.

All the same, i hope your around making more great addons for armed assualt. Cant let someone with an obviously vast knowledge of special forces units and weapons dissapear wink_o.gif

Maybe incremental, polished realeases of weapon packs would be better. If i had to choose, id ask for a m14 sopmod pack wink_o.gif thats the hottest gun ever.

OK, guys. Thanks for your support.

I think the update patch's in order, since there's some bugs to be fixed, i found some myself (damn, why people need to sleep sometimes?).

To avoid getting a "ModelSpecial" error - you need to download the Weapons 3.0, since PJs and CCTs use new Eotech weapons, which were not present in the 2.0.

For all the required add-ons and links to them please check the readme. Also... dunno where the trouble is... the plain raw text pasted from .rtf format isn't sometimes recognized by OFP, so excuse me for inconvenience. You'll have to type it out by hand.

And groups... i searched all over the net for designation of those, but to no avail. Well, i guess that goes to show they're classified smile_o.gif

And last but not least - my other units will be getting a facelift. Not sure how soon though. With SEALs it's gonna be a bit easier, but for Deltas and Rangers i already have some plans which include some model changes.

Same goes for the weaps, of course.

Ok. Some more friendly and healthy criticism is welcome, as usual.

How does old missions play with the upcoming updates then?

Maybe you're not aware, but I have several missions/campaigns where the basic backbone is your Rangers and SEALs supported with BIS infantry and vehicles. So I'm concerned that will the updated versions work ok with the existing missions or are edits required.

Afaik Laser will just remodel and retexture them so your Missions should still work as good as before with the newest versions.

I wouldn't bother with that error message, most people get it on startup, and it doesn't adversly affect gameplay wink_o.gif

Yeah I know it's not a big problem, but it's a bit ... annoying.

Edit: I tested with JAM3 FIX (the very latest version of JAM), and everything's ok !

good job on the PJ's these r the first units ive used with the new head model... For a second there i thought i was playing VBS. Looking forward to the SEALs and Rangers have new head models also!!!

Makes me wanna ask what happend to all the faces converteted from Ghost Recon to Llaumas head?

Yes, i hope the GR faces pack will be finished someday, there are 349 faces that should be coming with the pack (that should be the end of the clone invasion wink_o.gif ) , so it may take some time before completion.

Wow, the units are awesome! I much prefer the new heads to the old ones. However, the only criticism i have is for most (not all) of the scopes - acogs, aimpoints, reflex have horrible models, i think the ones taken from counterstrike.

The main ACOG model is Wipman's. I prefer SJB's cause it has a transparent optic. I intend to mess around in o2 and fix Jackal's ones onto these. Some of the others are INQs, but they still look decent.

EDIT: The EoTechs are by far the best Ive seen in OFP.
