It's a shame for a game like this to be limited by a problem like this (bushes).

BI original trees are FPS killers. I tried the OFP vegetation replacement mod, and it allows me to put all settings from medium to high, and to win 20 FPS. BI, I don't care about destroying a complete forest or seeing a tree moving because of the wind. Just put in this game some beautiful basic trees, without extra visual effects, that don't need a 8800 Ultra. Simple things are always the better.

Excellent campaign for the moment (10x better than BI's one - sorry BI -, thank you for this work ! I'm now blocked in the mission "Cappricio" which is very (too ?) hard . I hope I'm going to clear it...

Hi, I've just tested this mod. Even if I will not play with it (there are too much trees that are flying...), it confirms what I'm thinking about ArmA's vegetation. I don't know what's the problem with BI original trees, but that's the only reason why I loose so much FPS in game. With BI original vegetation, I'm about 20 FPS maximum in forests, with all details on "medium". With your vegetation replacement mod, the game is completely smooth, 35 FPS minimum in forests with all details on "very high". So please BI, if you read this, would it be possible to optimize your trees ? I don't know how it could be resolved, but I'm sure you can do it . I hope this could be fixed someday, that's the only think I'm waiting about you... For information, here is my config: Athlon 64 X2 4200+, Corsair TwinX 2048 Mo PC3200, Leadtek 7950GX2 1024Mo, Raptor 74Go 10K RPM.

List your specs and we'll see if we can get that 8800 to push some polys That card is allmost identical to 7950GX2 in performance. I've got a 7950GX2 and performances with ArmA are not as good as I wish.

Is there anybody who could help me please ? What is the real syntax ? I tried "BitStreamVersans", "BitStreamVersansB15" etc... and it doesn't work. I just need an exemple to understand how to use those fonts please .

I wish to know how to set flags textures in game ? In OFP, I could use this setFlagTexture "\flags\USSR.jpg" to call the USSR flag, but is seems that's another way in ArmA. I tried to watch how BI did it in the official campaign, but I believe that they didn't use this command. They used some specials flags objects with their own textures (USA, South and North Sahrani). Is there anybody who knows the answer ?

Well, I don't say that I'm telling the truth. I just wanna be sure that my power supply is the reason of why the game doesn't run like I wish to. I precise that my game runs perfectly except near foliage. I can see a lot of people who have very good computers that are in the same case of me. I'll order a 650W power supply on monday, and then we will se if you were right (and I really hope so). I spend 500€ in a new graphic card, 42€ for the german version of ArmA, and soon 130€ for a new power supply. I add that I'll buy ArmA again when it will be released in my coutry (about 50€ I think). So look at this: finally, I'll spend more than 700€ to play ONE game. That's why I'm a bit frustrated and why I wanna be sure of the result.

I had this problem too: look at this topic. I don't know how I (almost) resolved it, but try to turn your aniso filter in your Nvidia control panel into "controlled by application". I have always this problem, but it seems less strong than at a few days ago. What's your graphic card ?
