stegman 3 Posted June 19, 2006 Here are some of the screens, from the ctf 1 2 3 4 5 6 Now, you´re allowed to discuss! telejunky So, where did these screens come from then? I've never seen them before...nice to see something new. Are they quite old? I see the shine on the top of the Humvee looks like the shine on the M1A1 we saw before... Hadrian_21VB 0 Posted June 20, 2006 Whos kid has coloured those ammo-boxes ? No army with any respect for them selves, would pick such a coulour.
Guest Ti0n3r Posted June 20, 2006 Whos kid has coulered those ammo-boxes ? No army with any respect for them selves, would pick such a coulour. I don't want to sound pessimistic, but what did you expect from BIS?
Hadrian_21VB 0 Posted June 20, 2006 Well the colour on the Ammo boxes for OFP was quite fine. So they actually can make it alright, if they want.
martinovic 0 Posted June 20, 2006 Wait a second, you guys are actually arguing about ammo crates? Uhhh, my guess would be that they paint crates in different color so they don't mix them up and a rifle squad ends up with a shipment of laws and stuff like that. meyamoti 0 Posted June 20, 2006 Eh..what hurts reading some print on a box to decide if its for rifles or explosives or something of that nature.
martinovic 0 Posted June 20, 2006 During a war i'd rather not have the guy in charge of ditribution scratch his head at which box has the magic hand grenades in it.
meyamoti 0 Posted June 20, 2006 I'm talking about big bold print, not some tiny need a magnifying glass to read
lilwillie 47 Posted June 21, 2006 During a war i'd rather not have the guy in charge of ditribution scratch his head at which box has the magic hand grenades in it. I gotta get me some of those magic grenades. Hell of a mole problem in my front yard I've been dealing with
Hadrian_21VB 0 Posted June 21, 2006 Different colours or not. Its still a stupid colour to use for an ammocrate. * I can see an officer/ mission-builder scratching his head thinking about where he can hide this crate in the forest so it looks natural. (Lets just say its ment for the ressistance guys to get them, but if the commies find them they can loot it as well) Mission briefing: Obj X: find the hidden ammo crates located in the forest But in our Btn. we often use human controlled enemies and it will be to easy for them to accedently find the crates The above is taken from an specific situation used in one of our Candidate missions. But on the other hand, who is going to camouflage an ammo crate thats in the middle of a base?
codarl 1 Posted June 21, 2006 I think the ammo crates are not from the US, but from the sahrani army. together with the yellow-coloured Ural I'm thinking Bis wants to make a sort-of bonaire-like atmosphere (brightly coloured stuff) for it. But why on earth they applied this to military hardware is, indeed, beyond me
Blanco 0 Posted June 21, 2006 Nice screens. Looks like the grass is still not affected by shadow ... hope they will fix it, cos it looks weird. Quote[/b] ]I order “danger close†so they stay low and engage on contact. Sound like a new command
dslyecxi 23 Posted June 21, 2006 Quote[/b] ]I order “danger close†so they stay low and engage on contact. Sound like a new command I wouldn't read too much into anything like that. He could be interjecting his own terminology for the "Danger" command, or it could just be as simple as like what the Wargames League mod does, where the same commands as usual have different names.
