blackdog~ 0 Posted September 1, 2006 Very cool screenshots, nice to see such a variety of terrain ranging large open beaches to thick forests to 'prairie' style and all the way up to larger cities with taller buildings.

figjam 0 Posted September 2, 2006 Great screenshots! I see they fixed the problem of grass not being affected by shadows
Commando84 0 Posted September 2, 2006 damn! i just love the businesses and factories and stores and buildings they put in the game. Some of the shots almost got a postcard feel to them Also any1 noticed the shell gas station look alike named Schnell! I love Bis sense of humour sometimes

Dynamax 0 Posted September 2, 2006 i love the water textures, but there is just one thing missing. where's the fogging (silt in water-cloudy) effect in the water? HL2 has it and it looks soooo good
jakerod 254 Posted September 2, 2006 Wow I agree with everyone else it looks amazing and I am going to feel quickly fighting here.
aus_twisted 0 Posted September 2, 2006 i love the water textures, but there is just one thing missing.where's the fogging (silt in water-cloudy) effect in the water? HL2 has it and it looks soooo good The water allready has a foggy visibility look, all depends on how deep the water is. And comparing HL2 water to ArmA is pointless, HL2 maps are tiny compared to ArmA and ArmA simulates open oceans.
Trueman 0 Posted September 2, 2006 Yes, nice new pictures of old buildings and stuff from ofp. I have highly doubts about that new engine. I bet they only increase the texture bit rate and leave it there.
zedderzulu 7 Posted September 2, 2006 What new engine? Anyway, yes, fantastic new screens http://ofp.4players.de/cms/gallerie/aa20.jpg -That building on the right - is this evidence of day/night textures? I'd love to have some of the non-enterable buildings' "lights" come on at night.
meyamoti 0 Posted September 2, 2006 Yes, nice new pictures of old buildings and stuff from ofp.I have highly doubts about that new engine. I bet they only increase the texture bit rate and leave it there. If that is what you have 'seen' then you are blind.

meyamoti 0 Posted September 2, 2006 Currently the newest 3D sights in terms of rifles would be the M16A2,personally I thought they had better in the first place, but I guess people wanted it to be more like COD2 or something.
bravo 6 0 Posted September 2, 2006 I think ofp scopes are crap and im sure i wouldnt like them the same way as they are. some screens about this feature would be something "simpatico" EDIT: dont know if you guys notice from the new german video in the scope we can see the lense changing color, to bright and grey to darker and lighter.. almost as we could see the colors changing from the scope! I really liked it when i saw! makes me feel that they alrady changed this feature
armandobronca 0 Posted September 3, 2006 Yes, nice new pictures of old buildings and stuff from ofp.I have highly doubts about that new engine. I bet they only increase the texture bit rate and leave it there. Yeah there is no new content just bigger textures.
bravo 6 0 Posted September 3, 2006 well i think its interesting and helpfull to hear different points of view, from different people. with that we might see, notice things we werent able to see notice.. criticize can be a good thing for arma's development.
