Sniperwolf572 758 Posted February 8, 2006 Some more info I managed to scoop, not sure how official it is. Quote[/b] ]Armed Assault: The old campaigns are included. There's a new island (Sara) larger than 100 kmË›, where the new campaign takes place. Inspired by the korean situation there is an "evil" aggressive North and a "good" South which you'll support as an american soldier. The battles shall be huge, just like real life. Battles in MP shall be larger too and can take multiple days in real life. That shouldn't pose a problem though, as you can join the battle anytime. The AI shall be good , but it shall be easier for newbies by turning on green and red auras for friend and foe. Terrain won't be deformable because the devs are afraid the missions could be influenced negatively. In game you shall be able to shoot through walls, casing, etc., you can hide from bullets behind house walls though, behind tarpaulins not. Ricochets shall pose a threat too. In Multiplayer there shall be a commander who doesn't participate in battle. The authors guess that the game is done by 3/4 and that the beginning of next year should be a realistic release date. NeMeSiS 11 Posted February 9, 2006 will we see any destruction system like seen in VBS1? Yeah i was hoping for that aswell, it doesnt have to be completely dynamic for now, but it has to be improved! Â (+it would probably be good for the sales "Hey, isnt that that game where you could blow up complete citys and stuff with tanks and chopper?" "sounds cool, lets buy it" Â )

robert(uk) 0 Posted February 9, 2006 (+it would probably be good for the sales"Hey, isnt that that game where you could blow up complete citys and stuff with tanks and chopper?" But if placebo posts it, it can't be that badly translated.

Big Dawg KS 6 Posted February 10, 2006 Quote[/b] ]Arma czech previews:The old campaigns are included Well it would be really hard to play the old campaigns without the original vehicles and weapons, wouldn't it? And I really doubt they changed them in the original campaigns since they take place in the early/mid eighties and putting modern equipment in would be highly unrealistic. Has we can all see the old stuff is in but finally they have bothered to make new, better looking units such has the BMP2 and T72 seen in the latest pics, something that could have been done to other products that are somehow related to flashpoint .
