Just a thought .. are you adding a shadow LOD for these wonderfull addons ? Its a small detail that adds to the look in game .

I realise that you may just have the shadow switched of in your options .

no ,shaow is not swithch of but as all the addon are in alpha phase the last reso lod (under 300 face which been used for the shadow) are not done so..no shadow but it will be done later

for the moment new screen

This is becoming a very promising mod, looks great!

A few questions though;

- how are you going to incorporate armor on the units, is this possible in OFP?

- how accurate are the weapons? Are you using standard BIS settings or something else like JAM-HD or FDF for example.

- Are different morale settings (allowfleeing) included for the different races/units or do these have to be set manually?

- Has close combat been included or are you planning this?

well SPQR could answer better than me but all i can say is :

the infantry will have armor value (regarding armor data in wh40k rule book)

hand to hand is possible but works bad in ofp so i don't know if we put this kind of fight in the mod

the weapon will have the power and the accuracy of the wh40k rule book so, no bis setting

for the moral i don't know, it is possible too but i can't say if it will be implemented

Yes the wellow stripe is for the 2nd company

but all the company can be made ..so we have to find some solution to easily apply the shoulder pad you want or just add all the textures for the shoulder pad in the file ..there are ten companies...so not so difficult .even if you think that the only thing to change is the colour of the stripe on the shoulder pads

well the chaotic space marines are not priority at the mom because we should rework the p3d we already have..

There are some things that could be improved :

helmet ( the mask)

shoulder pads(not so circular)

Legs (too big)

when we have a base p3d model all can be made smile_o.gif

also some chaotic horned power armour

Spad I made new textures I got your last email but i didn't received the one with the two pac new textures I made with the same reconverted back to jpgs...

well see the marine.rar i sent becasue it's updated look inside

I hope you will implement this but setting it manually in the mission editor will not be such a big problem.

Great screenies on the space marine vehicles, how are the interiors progressing?

I am currently working on several cpp, and chosen values for armor and damages aren't actually canon law, until tested and approved. The TT's armor save is equal to a value of armor, and Thoughness is added to this value. I'd to test later the Thoughness value as modified armorStructural, but until then, more important things need to be done first.

So many things have to be done first that hand to hand combat isn't at the present time the priority, even if it won't be a luxuary for assault troops, added to a full load of grenades. For ranged weapons, dispersion is also now being tested, not fixed yet.

About Morale, I haven't tried yet to implement it in the cpp. Maybe later. Morale, Command and Initiative can also be displayed inside the mission editor, playing with rank (morale) and experience (initiative).

1.) what Space Marines and Imperial Soldiers will be implented?

2) will you also make the Razorback?

3) Will you also make Buildings and Worlds for you mod?

4) Will you also make the Thunderhawk Transporter so the Space Marines can land vehicles?

space marine in tactical armor (blood angel, ultramarine)

bike and attack bike of the ravenwing

for the ELdars:

fire prism

bike

vyper

scorpion heavy tank

gardian

avenger

fire dragon

exarc fire dragon and avenger

scorpion aspect warrior

storm gardian

defender gardian

dark reaper

all in saim hann color and some unit in ulthwé color

the wraithlord is done too but waiting animation

-First a big THANK U for modding all this WH40k Stuff for OFP. I love WH40K  thumbs-up.gif

I have 3 Questions...

1) Will u redesign (retexture & do better models) the Imperial Guard? Because it seems to be not on this high Level of SM & Eldar u making now and there are many Bugs.

2) What about SM-Terminators & Cybots? U see any Chance to get them inside ur Mod? This is a lot of Work specially @ the Animations i think...

3)Can u make 2 different Helmet types for SM? The "Standard" helmet which SMs using actually and an older helmet :LIKE HERE the first one from the top of the side.

the imperial guard pack is on the way but i don't know how it is

for the terminator i'd like to see them in game but as you said , they need a big animation work so....

for the helmet maybe we can make it but this model is rare in actual chapter except in particular chapter.

As a former WH40K player/collector (Dark Angels), I'm looking forward to see these units in action.

Some feedback:

-Could use more scratches & dust on armor, Dawn of War is excellent example of this

-This hasn't happened so far, but please avoid making units look comical with very bright colours and shiny armor. Most WH40K mods I've seen for other games look pretty rushed texture wise (shadows, scratches, dust, detail etc. missing)

-For vehicles with large flat surfaces like Imperial tanks I suggest that you take photos of well painted miniatures and make textures out them wink_o.gif

just finished some new textures for the ultramarines..I am not so happy about the eagle chest i made..one for the sgt. and one for the normal space marine..Dark angels textures were already made and i got them..I was thinking to change the p3d model and add the robed white space marine...Spad made the reavnwing space marine..so about dark angels some fixes and they can be in ofp smile_o.gif

Spad we definetely need an improved space marine model..

this one has some problems..expecially on legs and helemt and chest..

spad I can make just little variations but i am not properly a 3d modeller..anyway I just tryied ingame the ultramrines and they are quite amazing even now..did you downloaded the new ones i sent you in the last email..make some pics for all the fans..i think thay are good but I'll improve them further.

just compile the folder in a pbo and try them .
