MontyVCB 0 Posted February 26, 2005 i was going to say any one thinking of doing a nbc unit would have to do full IPE (indiviual protective equipment), e.i. the suit,golves,overboots and respirator. as most chemical agents have more than one way of entering the body, e.g. V-Nerve and G-nerve agents can enter the body if inhaled, abosorbed or swallowed. Mustard and Bilster agents normally can only be inhaled in, but if released in a liquid form rather than an vapour, it will attack anything that comes into contact with it, these days there are really nasty ways of releasing a chemical agent, for example VX gas can be mixed with a liquid which has adeasive and corrorsive propities, so even if you had your suit on, the liquid would stick to you and then burn through the suit and then contaminate you  , thats why these days full chemical protection is needed, a mask will only protect you from CS gas exposure nothing more just my 2 cents  Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I already added a full hood over the head to give more protection and the units already have gloves. I didn't want to make a completely new addon, so IMO this was good enough. For those who feels gas masks are not workable, u can actually use triggers with setdammage 0 ingame and setdammage 1 for those without gas mask....until some scripters and addonmakers of soldiers units and chemical gases can come to an agreement on how best to implement their dammage settings in their scripts before publishing the addon. It was already present in the FML_anbc addon. It' because of the OFP sound system. The game wants to play the breathing sound and than makes the guns sound lower. Normally it should make it sound normal again after a few shots and than the breathing sound almost disappears. There's nothing I can do to fix this. To be more accurate it's the 'Urban-T' camouflage that was tested by the USMC and RNLMC during Excersize Operation Urban Warrior 1999. The camouflage was never approved for fielding. -No, I will not continue this addon to include other camouflages. A woodland camouflage would be extremely easy, but I won't work on it anymore. Anyone who wants to do so, PM or mail me. I will only fix bugs and leave the rest the same. I'm working on two vehicle addons for the LLW-mod right now and they take up all my spare time. The NUT_NBC addon was a fun-project which I decided to release at the request of Para-troooper. I do not have the time or the motivation to expand this project byond it's current status. The easiest way is is to make something animated on this addon. This way the script can detect if a mask has been put on or off (by checking the animated state 0 or 1). The same thing was used in the BAS dust scripts to detect goggles (which gave you these blackouts when you forgot to put them on). That will take me a few hours. I'm quite bussy these days with other addons and real-life, so it may be untill the end of the week before I can find the time to do this. On the tanks ect; You should remove this and do dammage to infantry and wheeled vehicles only. Tracked vehicles have an NBC system that protects them.
